01 x wakey-wakey captain

'Man, fuck you.'
Tia was so done. She wasn't easily ticked off given her status as a nurse, as patience came as stable as it was strong. She had achieved so by biting her cheeks when being pressured by her surroundings, fisting her hands and applying a borderline murderous smile on her face. It worked on the children, the adults sometimes but her seniors laughed. Laughed at her inability to control her emotions in her workplace and exhibiting unprofessional qualities.
That brought her to her next conclusion: the location. She was blocks away from the hospital and she could blow off steam in the best and worst ways possible. Only today, it was the worst. And it had to be him of all the people. She would've prefered his tough Russian friend but that was a whole other situation. A situation that would leave her with a bullet between her eyes.
When Sam rolled over to the side of the bed after shooting her a smirk. She would've been affected by the action if it weren't for her rage but of course, he knew how to push her buttons. He heard his soft mumble say—
'Well, why don't you come over here and fuck me yourself, chicken?'
Although Tia's insides were liquid at his comment and she felt like she was being undressed by the one leering, dark eye from the pillow, she wasn't swayed by his retort and answered in the hardest voice she could muster.
'Remind me to laugh at your stupid suggestion when I get back home.'
'Oh, I will,' he sang lowly.
'Get up, Sam, I need a lift,' she pleaded, soft yet cross. 'I got buzzed twice in the last fifteen minutes!'
'I'm just,' he groaned and adding a yawn for effect. 'I'm just really tired.'
She could've sniffed his bullshit from a mile away. He was up doing unofficial garbage - video games - until three in the A.M. when she had continuously warned him about her early morning shift.
'That's on you so wake! Up!'
When she was given a meagre grunt in response, out of pure spite, she grabbed the cup of coffee she had made for him from the bedside table and emptied the contents over his head. It was luke-warm and absolute trash, according to Sam, when she had dutifully taken time out of her precious morning routine to brew fresh coffee from scratch, with the help of a search engine, for her and her still-asleep boyfriend. If that didn't go down in history as sweet, she did not what she would do. Thus, the coffee stunt.
'Enjoy your coffee, Captain,' she said sweetly, rising from the side of the bed and saying, 'see you never.'
What was once used a term of endearment between then had become an argumentative noun, which meant that Sam had to either wake his ass up and see what was wrong or wait for her come back from work and do nothing about it. It was definitely option one because of the coffee and shot off the pillows with a hiss. The warm drink trickled down his buzzed hair and back with a sudden sensation of catching on fire. Instantly, he felt his cotton shirt stick to his icky back and he groaned at the browning sheets. Why did it have to be his turn to do the laundry that week?
Just as he contemplated on jumping into the shower, he caught the sight of Tia disappearing around the corner and the sound of keys whizzing. It was now or never, so he bolted out of bed to douse the fire of the brunette before she left for work.
