Dean, Sam and Hermione are dressed as sheriffs, standing in the living room. They are talking to a boy and his mother. Apparently the boy had seen somethings.

'I know you're just doing your job, but the police have been here all week already. I don't see why we have to go through this again. The more he tells the story, the more he believes it's true,' the mother spoke to the trio.

'Mrs. McKay, we know you spoke with the local authorities,' Sam starts.

'But, uh, this seems like a matter for the state police, so...' Dean finish.

'Don't worry about how crazy it sounds, Evan. You just tell us what you saw,' Hermione tells Evan.

'I was up late, watching TV. When I heard this weird noise,' Evan explains.

'What did it sound like?' Sam asks.

'It sounded like...a monster,' Evan answers. Sam and Dean exchange a look.

'Tell the officers what you were watching on TV,' Mrs McKay inferred.

'Godzilla Vs. Mothra,' Dean smiles.

'That's my favourite Godzilla movie. It's so much better than the original, huh?' Dean asks excitedly.

'Totally,' Evan answers just as excited as Dean.

'Yeah,' Dean nods towards Sam. 'He likes the remake,' Hermione grins.

'Yuck!' Sam glares at Dean and clears his throat. Dean stops and Hermione puts on her serious face.

'Evan, did you see what this thing was?' Sam asks.

'No. But I saw it grab Mr. Jenkins. It pulled him underneath the car,'

'Then what?'

'It took him away. I heard the monster leaving. It made this really scary sound,'

What did it sound like, Evan?'

'Like this...whining growl,' Sam and Dean exchange another look. Hermione moves towards Evan and offers him a piece of chocolate. Evan hesitates but takes the piece. He thanks her softly.

'Thanks for your time,'  Hermione gets up and follows the boys. Evan takes a bite of the chocolate and feels a lot calmer.

The trio is at Kugel's Keg. Sam is sitting behind the table and has beer, looking at research. Dean is standing nearby throwing darts. Hermione came back from the bar with a whiskey and takes place next to Sam.

'So, local police have now ruled out foul play. Apparently, there are worse signs of a struggle,' Sam tells Hermione and Dean.

'Well, they could be right, it could just be a kidnapping. Maybe this isn't our kind of gig,' Dean responds throwing a dart.

'Yeah, maybe not. Except for this—Dad marked the area, Dean,' Dean comes to the table and looks at their father's journal. 'Possible hunting grounds of a phantom attacker,'

'Why would he even do that?'

'Well, he found a lot of local folklore about a dark figure that comes out at night. Grabs people, then vanishes. He found this too—this country has more missing persons per capita than anywhere else in the state,' Sam explains.

'That is weird,'

'Yeah,'

'Don't phantom attackers usually snatch people from their beds? Jenkins was taken from a parking lot,' Dean points out.

'Well, there are all kinds. You know, Spring Heled Jacks, phantom gassers. They take people anywhere, anytime. Look, Dean, I don't know if this is our kind of gig either,'
