Chapter 14: Merlin

"Let's go Merlin." Flynn says after Elizabeth's "lecture" on our bad friendship with Ban. I felt a bit heart broken but it's all apart of the plan. We walk off the platform first but go in the direction of the village not the castle.

We stop at this fancy looking Inn. We sign in to a two bedroom area. "Please sit down Miss Merlin." He says. I sit on the bed. "So what is my 'job' or what you want me to do?" I ask.

"To be honest I'm very interested in magic and your skills. Your one of the greatest witch's I've ever recorded in history. I wanted to start a healthy relationship with you or at least learn something from you. Even if we don't end up together I still want to have a strong relationship with you as a friend." He says.

"I'm not going to force you into anything. If we're not each other's type that's fine and we can stick to friends."

"Flynn, was it. What do you mean by 'I'm one of the best witches you've recorded?'" I ask.

"My job in The Land of Dreams is to record every person in the human land. I'm the manger and the big boss of the operation. We have books and records of everyone. Pretty much it's in order of the year. So you look up your birth year and it shows you your name your parents, where you were made at, your hospital, and if you died the year and how." He says.

"If were in a relationship or a friendship what sort of job will I be doing?"  I ask. "It's what you want to do. If you want to continue magic there's a sage and a few other witches in this town that you can work with, or after a few months we can make your own little shop area near the castle." He says.

"I would like to have a regular job and do magic." I say. "Maybe a Doctor or something in the medical field."

"Jobs that very much effect the lives of our people isn't looked kindly on since you could easily kill them off on purpose. You would need years and years of  trust from Gartude to be able to do that." He says. I nod, "What about a chef?" I ask.

"You can be a waitress, a stripper, a house wife, a potion maker, a gardener, a pet shop owner, a manger to a restaurant but can't be near the food, or one of Noah's advisers or teachers in different arts." He says.

Being Noah's teacher may put the plan in way faster but... this could be a test to see if I will take the job. "I would like a waitress. I've done it before." I say. He nods.. Hownk I hope your okay..
