Chapter 4: Ready

Once the plane landed and I stepped out the plane I checked my phone to see the time and it said 2:07am which shocks me at first but then I remembered that there is a time difference. A few seconds later I receive a text from cousin.

'Hey Jess I'm already outside waiting for you. I'll be the third car there. Remember I'm in a black Toyota camry. Love you loser"

' Hey stupid can you come inside and wait for me please. I'm really tired and I want to sleep so please come. And you act like I know my cars man come on you know I don't even know what a Toyota is .'

'But if I wait for you in the airport that means I'm going to have to find parking and park my car and then walk to you and that sounds too much for me. You know that im a lazy ass, you should know better ugly. You're right, what was I thinking you have don't even know what the break is.'

'Shut up, that why you failed basically all written exams. I at least passed it without knowing anything and you have been driving for three years. Stop winning I'm making my way to the luggage area so can you please come quick and help and shut the fuck up you sick shit I know what a break is and for your information I ar least got proof.'

'Fine I go in and help you. And what's your proof??'

"My fucken permit you stupid bitch and help me please and thank you'

'Okay I'll be there in a bit'

'Thank you so much..I love you 😚'

'K whatever'

And with that I shut off my phone and look up to see where I was at because I was texting and walking at the same time so I wasn't sure I'd I was at the right baggage claim.

I look around and see Matthew and I just know I'm at the right place because other passengers and him are there waiting for their luggage. I make my way and once I got there the luggage start to appear. A few luggage passes by and after waiting for a minute or so I see my bags. I get ready to grab my luggage but Matthew appears out of nowhere and grabs it for me.

"Oh you didn't have to do that matt but thank you so much for doing so" I tell him as I turn to him because he was on the left side of me

"Yeah no problem I just wanted to help" he replies to me as he grabs his when it showed up

"So who is going to pick you up" I ask him

"I'm taking an uber you" he tells me

"My cousin is here to pick me up" and while I was saying that I was already walking with Matt right behind me

"Oh okay" was all that was left out his mouth

"I would so give you a ride home but I'm not sure where you're going and I do think my cousin will be fine with dropping off a stranger" I tell him honestly

"No it's fine don't worry about it" he tells me a reassurance

When we were leaving the baggage claim I get a call from my cousin Chris

"Yes, how can I help you?"

"I'm already out here and I have your snacks here with me so hurry up"

"Oh my gosh thank you I owe you one. I love you bye"

"Okay see you soon"

"So was that your boyfriend that called you right now" Matt ask me

"Oh no that's my cousin and I don't have a boyfriend" I say looking up to him because he is a lot taller than me
