In viam, veritas
In the journey, there is truth
Broken in pieces, translated
By one who has not studied in five years
The road
Less traveled?
Or paved in good intentions?
The path less taken
Has cigarette butts in the weeds
This has not been the first walk of shame
Done in the thorns of truth
The bridges may be burned
as we get to them
but we've walked though fire before
hot coals are nothing new to the soul
Different paths
Taken at the crossroads
Always told to make the right choice
Then left to our own devices
The world spinning
Upside down and backwards
In truth, the solution is and always has been
The same
One foot in front of
The other
Left
Right
Left
Right left
Right
(we tripped there)
May our paths cross one day
Or if they don't
It has been
One hell of a journey
And I was happy
To go by your side
For what little time we had
Together
Weep not for roads untraveled
It doesn't matter where we take this
God bless the broken
Take the horse to
And ride along
If I just lay here
Watching the passengers
Waving goodbye
Will I
Walk alone?
I'm going for a walk, can you hold this for me?
