This week in class we had to write short stories that had irony in it so I thought that I would share it with you guys and see what you thought.

We Meet the Ruler of the World

It is 2157 all video games and anything fun is illegal. The whole world is run by one man, Mr. Misanthropist. Now do not let his name fool you he was nice to everyone, well everyone but the little town of Elvenbrooke. I have no idea what we did to make him mad but whatever it was he made sure that we were circumscribed to our little town. His only has one saying that he always says "Fun is a malediction and learning is a benediction.

Oh! How silly of me, I'm Anna Darcy and me and my friends are rebels. Every night at 12 o' clock midnight we sneak out when there is little to no security around and go to the old, abandoned arcade. When we go out we still have to have circumspect minds just in case.

There was a new girl at school today, Mindy. She was kind of and odd girl because she would not tell us her last name but whatever. She was pretty cool because she was has monomania for old prototype arcade games, so we took her in before she got in trouble with the teachers for being different. One night we took her to the arcade and she got to see her first game and she fell in love with Pac-Man. We told her not to tell anyone and it was just our little secret.

"Sir we have a situation."

"What Andrew!"

"It's your daughter, Mindy we caught her in Elvenbrooke playing......video games with some girls."

"She's What!? I want you to bring her to me this instant. The other girls too if you can get a hold of them."

"Yes Mr. Misanthropist, right away."

"Hey wheres Mindy she said she would meet us here to head to school" my friend Alex asked me.

"I have no idea. Alice any idea?"

"Actually she i did see her get into an airplane that said MM on it with some man." said Alice.

"Well Miss. um.... ugh if only there was a neologism to describe you right now don't you think that could have been useful to us." Alex said as she punched Alice in the arm.

"Well I'm sorry I just did not have the time to talk with all your questions." Alice argued back.

"Guys stop!" I said. "Lets just go to school and hope she comes later."

That whole day Mindy never showed up. Math, History, Reading, Science never heard her answer a single question. Then the best time of all the end of school. I was sitting in computer when the announcements came on.

"Good afternoon bellicose lions." I hate our mascot ugh. Blah blah blah. I was not really paying attention until I heard this: " Can I please see Anna Darcy, Alexandria Manchester, and Alice Martin in the office after announcements before they leave today. Ohh man we are in trouble. So many questions were racing through my mind at that moment. Why? What did we do? How did they find out? Did Mindy tell? Do they even know?

All of these questions were answered when we got in the office. There stood Mr. Misanthropist and Mindy. She had to have told someone or maybe we were not a cautious as we thought we were. I just hope we get to come home tonight.

"I need you to come with me." and thats all he said until we got into his huge, white, private jet.

"Mindy can you please introduce me to your new friends so I can call their parents and tell them that these girls will not be home tonight." Mr. Misanthropist said.

"What do you mean we are not going home!" Alex yelled.

"He means that you are going to spend the night with me for my birthday. Surprise!" Mindy said

'Really?!"

"No" Mr. Misanthropist yelled. "Now sit down we are almost there."

When we got to his house/Office/Evil Lair thing we seen something unexpected. Video games everywhere. So it all turned out that he was trying to get everyone to play video games and trying to renounce the law. He just wanted us to teach him how.

I know its long but I hope you enjoyed it.
