5 years later. . .
"Oh Beatriz." Kinuha ko ang ice cream na bigay sa'kin ni Cel. Maki is sitting beside me starting to eat her cookies and cream. I have my pistacio with me, take a spoon full then eat. Cel have her rocky road. We have here in the balcony, seeing how the sea waves go to the shore.
One week ago, i decided to ask them to join me in this trip. Wala lang gusto ko lang lumayo sa Maynila tapos ayon dito kami napadpad sa Laiya Batangas. Masyadong malayo ito kaysa sa mga pinupuntahan namin sa mismong pa-Batangas City.
"Grabe ang bilis ng panahon Bei noh, in few months 28 na tayo, parang kailan lang sinusuportahan ka namin sa UAAP."
"Saka Maks 'yong panahon na namamalimos na halos tayo ng oras dyan kay Beatriz kasi laging may training. Tapos lagi sasabihin sa'tin, "I need to sacrife." chuchu nya."
I smile remembering those moments. Ang tagal na non ngayon pwede na kong umalis. Many things have change but they are still my bestfriends.
"Oo nga eh but worth naman lahat ng sacrifices ko. We got the championship in season 81, may bonus na MVP. I got into a good team in pro league, have some awards and many more. Tapos di ba dati todo hugot pa kayong dalawa lagi sa twitter?"
Pinalo ako ni Maki sa braso then tell me. "Excuse u Beatriz ha! Dati yon i found my love na ngayon!"
"Hahahaha! Si Maki talaga hugotera satin noh?! But im happy Maks that you have Charles right now."
"Yeah!" I agree with Cel. Im happy that they found their love. Maki has Charles while Cel have Dane. They deserve the best.
Moment of silence filled us but no one dares to speak. We are just looking at the sight. The sea, moon, stars while the sound of the waves in the background.
Kapag ganitong tahimik ang dami kong naalala noon. Puro alaala nalang talaga.
"Bei, are you happy right now?" Maki ask me out of nowhere.
"Of course Maks. I have you two. Mom, Dad and Kuya. My teamates. I have my bussiness. Sometimes i gained rewards from volleyball. I have my supporters. I guess im happy." Kumain ulit ako ng ice cream. Ang sarap talaga ng ice cream.
"I guess yon Bei. Hinulaan, pinakiramdaman mo. Magkaiba yon sa totoong masaya." Cel answered me. Tumabi na sya samin ni Maki. Nasa gitna nila ako.
"Bei, kontento ka na ba sa nangyayari sa buhay mo?"
"Oo Maks? As long as those people around me are happy, masaya na rin ako."
"Bei, sometimes did it cross your mind? I mean that night?"

This is the topic that i dont want to talk about but i feel like its time na para pag-usapan 'to. Limang taon na rin. Limang mahahabang taon.
"Sometimes im asking myself, how is he."
Nobody answer but i continue.
"Sometimes im asking bakit di nya ko pinigilan that night."

"Here he is right now." Pinakita nya sakin 'yong phone with his picture. Parang photoshoot.
"I heard he join fashin industry right now as a local model but still continue to play basketball." Sabi naman sakin ni Cel.
"Yah, i heard about it also. Syempre we're into sports, isang circle kaya alam ko naman kahit papano."
