Chapter 17

3rd POV

The heart monitor beeped slowly, the hospital room was silent. All Y/n's old friends and Miss Laurens were in the room waiting beside her, it didn't surprise anyone that she did this. They all knew she needed help and that it was only a matter of time before they did this. Everyone was teary eyed or crying, they couldn't help her for she barely talked to them. They all had a deep hatred for Angelica, especially Alex. He made his sister this way, but he was also mad at himself. He refused to believe her. If Alexander could go back in time and change what happened they all would.

The heart monitor seemed to go slower and slower. It was a killing sound but it was keeping alive, nobody said anything. They all sat around Y/n, silently regretting everything they had ever done to this girl. She was once so happy now she was... it's hard to explain...

The piercing sound of the heart monitor wouldn't stop. At least they hoped it wouldn't, Y/n opened her eyes and gave a small smile "Try not to miss me too much, you'll forget about me next year..." she mumbled but all of them shook their heads "Don't say that, you'll be fine. You just need rest," Alex said but they all knew it wasn't true. "Alex, let's be honest here..." Miss Laurens sighed. Y/n was in terrible conditions, the doctors said she wouldn't make it through the night.

"I love you all..." Y/n smiled before she fell into again another coma

Time skip 7 years
Same POV

Alex was now 24 years old and going off to college, he was moving out of his old house and his friends were helping him. It was time for the last room in the house, they continued to skip it for a reason. It was Y/n's room. Nobody went in the room or touched her stuff, everything was right where she left it. Alex grabbed the key to her room and opened it carefully. The bed was semi made and there was a glass of very old water. Y/n's figurines and clay things were still there, dusty and worn away. Alex walked into the room, the memories of him and his sister flooding in.

Alex sighed, "Can we look at some of this before we put it away?" He asked. The group nodded and carefully took it downstairs. They looked at her stuff one by one, they each took something that reminded them of her. Once they finished, they put it away and into the moving truck. John went up to Alexander and tapped his shoulder "Love, I think you should take this call." He said and gave Alexander the phone hone. Alex looked confused but answered it "Hello?" He asked. "Mr Hamilton? This is the hospital down the road." The doctor said. Alex put the call on speaker and waved everyone in the room "Yes?" He asked. "We have great news, your sister has woken up from her coma!" The doctor said "you can come and pick her up now," they added before hanging up. The whole group cheered and got into two cars since they all couldn't fit into one, they drove to the hospital and ran inside.

"Y/n Hamilton." Alexander said, "ah yes, room 239 second floor." The receptionist said. "Thank you," Alex said before the group quickly went to the room. They knocked on the door before walking inside and there she was, Y/n was sitting there smiling at them. "Y/n!" Alex smiled and ran to her, they hugged and Alex said a million apologies which made Y/n chuckle. She kissed his forehead and smiled at the group. "So... what did I miss?" Y/n asked and they all started talking about what they did the past seven years.

There was a knock on the door and everyone got quiet "Come in," Y/n said and James walked inside. Y/n smile widened and she teared up "James..." she mumbled as he walked to her, James hugged Y/n tightly and she hugged back. Y/n pulled him into a kiss and he happily kissed back. Once they broke the kiss Y/n chuckled.

"It feels weird seeing you all now, every word you said I could hear but I couldn't see you. You all look so old now, even I do... I just wish I could've been there for you all when you needed me," Y/n sighed. "We are so sorry for what we did, we just need to make things right between us. Because we are all like one big family," Alex said to which the rest nodded

"It's only a matter of time..."
