Who Could She Be?

This is a poem I wrote for someone that was really special to me. This is in his memory.

Who Could She Be?

Millions of times she wished to be visible

She asked to be seen

And out of the shadows

She saw life pass her by.

Until you

When you came along,

She decided to step out of her shadow bubble,

And you saw her

You saw the girl

You saw inside of her

You saw her pain,

And you saw her joy

You saw what no one had dared to see

You looked at how beautiful she could be

You saw the beauty no one else did

You never told her what that beauty was,

Or how deep it was, but you saw it

That’s all that mattered to her

And now that you’re gone,

She’s wondering if it was her fault

If she was the reason why your existence vanished

Now she’s back to the dark shadows that torment her,

But she will never forget that boy who saw her

The one who wanted her

The boy who’s name made her smile

And made her heart skip a beat.

The one boy who could’ve changed her life,

All because his life was taken

Never to be restored again.
