Chapter Forty

(Mikey's POV)

After we were finished grocery shopping, I took the stuff home, and me and Melinda decided to head over to Vin's house. We walked next to each other, and I could feel the tension between us. Did she want to kiss me as badly as I wanted to kiss her? I couldn't fight it any longer, I took her hand in mine. She smiled at me, and her cheeks turned a rosy red color. I laughed, and placed a soft kiss on each of them. She had such kissable cheeks! "Why thank you...." Mel smiled and winked. "Shit... I said that out loud?" I blushed. "Yes, yes you did. And, if I may say Mr. Fusco, you have very kissable cheeks yourself." She smiled, placing a kiss on my cheek. I blushed, and bit my lip. This girl makes me want to scream she is just so cute! We finally got to Vin's house, we walked up the stairs, and I rang the doorbell. Vinny opened the door, and smiled. "Well hola. I see you guys couldn't stand being away from us." I broke into laughter and Gab appeared next to Vin. "Hi guys... Again!" She laughed. "So, can we come in?" Melinda laughed. "Mikey can. But you can't." Gab laughed. "And Melinda can come in. But you can't." Vinny said. "Babe... You just made what I said have no value..." Gab said looking up at Vin. "And you made what I said have no value..." Vinny said, looking down at Gab. I laughed, and walked into the house, still holding hands with Melinda.  "Okay, so Mel, come with me!" Gab took Mel's hand in hers and then ran into the kitchen. "Shall we spy on them?" Vinny asked me. "We shall." I smirked, and we leaned against the door. This should be interesting...

(Melinda's POV)

"Soooo...." Gab smiled, boosting herself on to the kitchen counter. "What?" I laughed, sitting in one of the stools. "What going on between you and Mikey?" She asked. I shrugged. "What does that mean?" Gab asked. "I don't really know what we are...." I admitted. "Well, do you like him?" Gab asked. I threw an apple at her. "Obviously! I've had a crush on him since we were just fangirls!" "Oh yeah... I'm dumb. Well, have you guys like... Done anything?" Gab asked, putting air quotations around "anything." "We've kissed each other's cheeks and held hands... Nothing more than that though. But I bet his churro his ten inches long..." I said, making Gab choke on her gum. "AND IT'S PROBABLY THREE TIMES AS WIDE AS MY BIG TOE." At this point, Gab was on the floor, laughing so hard her eyes were spilling tears. I heard additional laughing though, so I opened the kitchen door, and hit something. I peeked out, and sprawled out on the floor of the dining room were Mikey and Vinny. I blushed, he heard everything I said about him! I felt the tears prick at the back of my eyes, and I ran upstairs. That's so embarrassing...

(Mikey's POV)

I recalled what Melinda was saying, and laughed to myself. I don't know why she's so embarrassed... Well, actually I do. If she heard half the things I thought about her, I'd be crying too. I stood up, and excused myself, I need to make her feel better. As I walked upstairs, I heard sniffling coming from Vin's room. I walked in, and Melinda was sitting on the ground crying. "Hey..." I said, standing in the door frame. She looked up at me, and then buried her face in her hands. "Go ahead. Say it. You think I'm weird and we need to take time apart." "What are you talking about?" I asked. She stood up, and looked at me. "Wait, you don't think I'm creepy?" "No baby... I think you're adorable...." I smiled, and pulled her closer to me. "Most guys would've called me a total creeper. But, I can't help it. I'm just, being pervy is my thing... It's just, me." She blushed, and looked down at thr gound. I pulled her face up by her chin, and smiled, looking into her eyes. "I love you, just the way you are. You should never be afraid to be yourself around me...." I said, making her smile. I found myself moving in, and soon our lips met. I smiled, and tangled my hand in her hair, and then disconncected our lips. "Do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" I asked. She smiled, and nodded. "YES!" I smiled, and connected our lips again. Finally, she's officially mine...
