(Mikey's POV)
Melinda looked beautiful. I coughed, pretending to clear my throat, and caught Vinny's eye. I gave him the "Come with me!" look, and I thanked God he understood. We both got up to go to the buffet table. "What's wrong?" Vinny asked, picking up a plate. "I think I'm gonna ask out Melinda tonight..." I said, picking up pizza from one of the platters. "That's crazy... I was gonna ask out Gab tonight..." Vinny said. We both smiled at each other. Good minds think alike. "I'm so nervous though..." Vinny admitted, as we moved further down the table. "I am too... It has to go perfectly." I said. "I think I'm gonna do it during our first dance..." Vinny said as we walked back to our table. "I think I'll do it on the way home, my mom's picking me up from her house." I said. Vinny nodded, and we shut up because we reached our table. "Hey beautiful." I smiled, and sat down in my seat, not before leaning over to kiss her cheek though. She smiled, and blushed. "Hey." I had never seen her blush before. I smiled, and took this as a sign. Tonight was the right night to ask her out...
(Gabrielle's POV)
As we ate, I noticed Vin and Mikey kept looking at each other. Me and Melinda exchanged curious glances... What in the world was going on? Finally, I had to ask. "What are you guys staring at each other for?" I laughed. As Vinny opened his mouth to talk, Krissy burst into tears. "KRISSY?!" I yelled, and ran to her side of the table, enveloping her into a hug. "I know something is going on. Spill it. Or I'm calling your mother..." "My dad got a job in California... I'm moving..." She choked out. Sadness washed over me, and I felt light headed. Did she just say she was moving? "A-a-re you being serious?" I asked, my eyes clouding with tears. She nodded, and showed me the text. It was from her mom, and it said "Try and get home early. We have to discuss the moving plans." I felt as if I could die right now... My best friend is moving all the way on the other side of the country... What am I going to do? I held back tears, for her sake, and sighed. "I guess we're just gonna have to make tonight amazing then, right?" She smiled through tears, and nodded. "What are we waiting for? LET'S DANCE!" I smiled, and grabbed her hand, taking her out to the dance floor. Despite how much fun I was having, I still felt sick to my stomach. I can't believe she's actually moving....
