waking up the next morning due to her set alarm, hyerim stretched out her hand to silence her phone before digging her face into the pillows. as she was about to fall back asleep, her ringtone went off.
she sleepily groaned, lifting up her head and answered it, not bothering to look at the caller id. the person on the other end was put on speaker, and she immediately regretted it.
"HYERIM! ARE YOU UP?" sunwoo's voice shouted, making her flinch.
"i answered your call, didn't i?" hyerim sighed. "you're so loud, why—"
"because! it's time to wake up and meet us at the train station, dummy!"
another ringing then sounded, and up popped a facetime request from him. she hesitantly accepted.
"i won't hang up until i see you get out of bed and wash up," he said.
hyerim groaned and angled the camera so only her eyes and up were visible. she sat up and stretched, getting off of her bed to leave the room. the rest of the house was quiet considering the rest of her family was sleeping in.
towards the middle of the hallway was where the bathroom was located. upon entering, hyerim flipped the switch on and propped her phone up on the sink, leaning against the mirror.
"what are you doing?" she questioned sunwoo while wetting her toothbrush and squeezing toothpaste on the bristles.
"looking for shoes to wear," he answered back.
they stayed on the phone for about five more minutes until hyerim was finished.
"i'll hang up now. i have to change," she said.
"alrighty~ don't be late!" teased sunwoo before he waved and ended the call.
hyerim rolled her eyes and placed her phone face down on her desk. just beside it was her laptop which she turned on to play music. as she sifted through her closet, she took the weather into consideration. it was autumn and the winds were getting colder, so after choosing her main outfit, she also reached for a hoodie.
rolling up the hem of her jeans and grabbing her shoes, hyerim looked over her reflection in the mirror and shrugged at herself.

"can you bring home takoyaki?"
jaeseong's voice traveled through the phone.
"i'll try, bub. i'll see you later, okay?" hyerim responded, stepping off the bus.
"okay! i love you, noona! stay safe!"
"you too. i love you!"
hanging up, she turned her head in search of either jisung or sunwoo but it was difficult considering she wasn't the tallest person and she was surrounded by people. she walked over to one of the more empty ticket booths and sent sunwoo a text asking where they were.
'where are you? jisung can get you' was what he replied.
it didn't take long to see a smiley boy skip up to her after she told sunwoo where she was.
"hyerim~!" jisung grinned.
"hi, jisung!" hyerim greeted, laughing as he brought her into a hug.
he was wearing a black jacket over a plain white tee along with ripped jeans.
"sunwoo and doyeon are by the entrance of the platform," he said. "i have your ticket, so we can just meet them."
"wait, who bought me a ticket?" the girl asked, a feeling of guilt filling her stomach.
"sunwoo and i split it."
jisung draped his arm around her shoulders just in case they ended up getting separated and listened to her grumble.
"i know i told sunwoo i was broke but i could've bought my own ticket," she pouted.
chuckling at her cuteness, jisung pulled her closer as they weaved through the sea of people.
"it's alright. it saves time!"
