The whole world seemed to pause except for the monotonic sound of the newly received text; I unlocked the screen tapping the new notification taking me to the messages app.

📩Unknown 03:34 PM
It's been a while; hope you're ready to save someone's life. Be ready at 11:34 PM on 4th exit near the cliff, there's going to be a car accident. Dark Ford, make sure to be there on time. His life completely depends on you tonight.

Everything seemed to go back to a normal pace as I buried my phone back into my pocket before helping the new customer who just approached me. Someone I never met before somehow had my phone number saved to their list, someone I probably never talked to had a way to know what I did in the past. Someone was stalking me and asking me to save lives. I wasn't being threatened at least not directly, I been asked to help people mostly save their lives from fatal injuries. People who been left to die on the side of the roads, in the parking lots and the dark allies. Who had this information about their whereabouts and why wouldn't they help them on their own? I had no idea and it was an urging question that I couldn't get an answer for.

Why I was helping them? It was all because of a memory that I wished to be forgotten, the sound of their last words barely vivid before the light went to a dark, the spoken words turned to yell curses were being shouted and the once heard laughs turned to screams of panic. The memory of bloodshed lingering in my mind every time my mind takes that taste of darkness.

"Eunji?" The sound of my name shook me back to the realness of the world.

"...The probability of snow falling on Seoul tonight until the early hours of the morning is rising from 40% to 70%, as the expected to reach 23 Fahrenheit through the night. It's better to avoid driving at the late hours of tonight and the early hours of the morning due to the high probability of snow. Hoping you a safe ride." The small volume of the radio echoed in my car as I pretended to be busy looking for my purse in the gloves drawer.

"Is everything okay in here?" Namjoon asked as he knocked on my window lightly, I downed the glass farther: "It was a long day." I said.

He closed the tank of my car after he filled it with gas as he said: "Although, you are not driving home just yet."

I handed him a banknote as I said: "I still have something to do before I call it a night."

"A client?" he asked noticing that I was still wearing my uniform: "Of course not. I mean who would want to get their furniture assembled at the midnight? Have some sense NamJoon!"

"A pervert? I mean with an employee like you who wouldn't want that?" He teased and I typically rolled my eyes in the rear mirror: "Spare me that talk please." He went to get me the change. He didn't take long before he returned, he handed me the money before he told me: "seriously, where are you going?"

"I can't tell you." I told him when he tried not to laugh as he said: "Are you trying to make me believe that you may or may not go on date? Because with that shirt of yours you're trying to prove yourself wrong."

"Trust me, I don't care what do you think at the moment," I told him as I checked the time on my phone realizing that I was getting late.

"That hurt my feelings." He told me as I turned to look at him to tell him: "they probably have to wait for me to deal with them later, but for now I really have to go."

"Okay, have a good night."

He told me as a new customer approached the gas station looking for a refill.

"You too," I said as I turned the engine on, before pressing on the gas pedal to go.

I looked the time over the dashboard of the car; I could see it was almost 11 PM. I was looking the time up before hearing the sound of the tires on the road.
