English couldn't be over soon enough. I was bored to the edge of all humanity as Ms. Rosenberg flapped her gums on how it was important to indent a paragraph. Well, at least it is over, I thought. I ran out of the room as soon as the bell rang.
Oof!
My books fell all over the floor. Papers and pens scattered the halls.
"I am so so sorry!" a small, dainty girl said. Her dark hair was put to the side in a ponytail, and a blue gem ring sparkled on her right ring finger.
"It's fine, really." I said
The girl smiled. "I'm Dani Linback. Do you know Alex Davis?" she asked.
"Um, is it a guy?" I asked. Hey, there could've been more than one Alex in the school.
"Yeah," she said. "He's kinda gay."
"Oh, yes I do know him." I declared.
"Well, me and Alex have been best friends forever, so maybe that'll happen to us!" she said, very perkily.
"Ok? Oh, I'm Lana Rose." I smiled.
"Cool! Here's my phone, put in your number and I'll put mine in yours." she stated. We traded phones, her bright rainbow cased phone in my hand, my blue cased phone in hers.
"Wait," I said before she turned.
"Yeah?"
"Your name is Dani, right?"
"Uh-huh." she said.
"You mean, like a boy?" I said, a little uneasy of what she would say.
"You're so funny! Next period is lunch for everyone. Come to table 31. See ya!" she said and bounced away.
"Bye!" I yelled after her.
Wow, two friends in one day.
That's a new record.
