Lily tossed in her bed not ready to wake up . She was still tired she from last night. She got home around twelve and fell asleep soon after. After she calmed down a bit from her run in with Taylor she looses up and started to have fun.

She reached for her phone on the night stand but instead it fell. She groaned because she didn't want to come from underneath the covers yet. So she laid there. She yawned so big tears dropped from the corner of her brown eyes. She wiped them and stretched her body. She tossed to lay on her other side. She tried to go back to sleep but she couldn't ignore her bladder anymore.

She got up and briskly walked to the bathroom. After going to the bathroom she looked in the mirror. Her braids were starting to get a bit frizzy. She rubbed sleep out of her eyes. She brushed her teeth and washed her face before heading back to her room.
She picked up her phone and slid back under the covers. 10:23. She had a bunch of messages in her lock screen.

Dude last night was lit. Haven't seen you like that in a long time Lily - Melody.

I'm so glad you came last night, Lil. I knew you needed it. -Jasmine.

I was hoping I could take you out! -555-2352

Italy and New Zealand. I'll compare and you contrast. -Ocean

She began to reply to them.

Yea last night was pretty crazy. -Lily.

Jas who did I give my number out to? -Lily.

Okay. I'll have my part done by today. -Lily.

She knows she didn't drink last night but she really couldn't remember giving her number out. Nor did she remember making an impression on any on to make them want to take her out.

Her stomach to started to rumple. She headed downstairs. With her phone in hand.

Yea some guy from school. I don't know his name. -Jas.

That's not helpful. Well he text me saying he wants to take me out. -Lily.

He was kinda cute, I guess. -Jas.

Lily was at the kitchen table now with as she ate a bananas for yogurt . She laughed at her friends response.

I'm not gonna text him back. -Lily.

Just go on the damn date -Jas

"How was the movies?" Her dad asked as he placed a kiss on the top of her head. She quickly put her phone down and focused on her banana and yogurt.

"Oh it was good. I liked it. It was funny." She replied.

"Where did you guys end up eating at?" He asked as he started to prepare the coffee maker.

"Oh we just went to the hamburger place inside the shopping center."

"Sounds fun. Glad you enjoyed yourself."

"Oh yea. It was fun going out with them." She picked up her phone.

We'll see. -Lily.

"And you made curfew." He chuckled. Lily use to rarely make curfew and if she wasn't suppose to go out she would sneak out.

"Lily you need to take those braids down or get them re-done." Her mother walked into the kitchen and placed a kiss on her husbands cheek.

"Yea. I'll take them down today." She said trying not to sound annoyed.

"How was the movies with your little friends?"

"It was good." She replied.

"Good morning mom. Hey pop." Jacob rang.

Lily was relieved that her brother entered the kitchen. Her talks with her mother were painful and annoying. She tried to avoid them at all costs. Sometimes she would feel bad because it's her mother and she knew most girls have a close relationship with their mothers.

"What's for breakfast?" He sat down in the chair next to Lily.

"What do you want sweetie?" Their mother asked with a soothing voice.

"French toast? Eggs?" He said. He played with a soccer ball underneath the table.

"Anything for my baby."

"Must be nice." Lily said underneath her breath. He stuck his tongue out at her but she just rolled her eyes. Her phone buzzed.

K. Nice to see you stopped being a wallflower at the party. -Ocean

She smiled to herself. Her brother nudged her in the arm. She looked up at him.

"A party?" He mouthed silently. She looked at her mom and dad who were busy in the kitchen doing their own thing.

She nodded back at him. His eyebrows rose in surprise. He raised his hand to his mouth and made a drinking motion. She shook her head no. He gave her a thumbs up. She chuckled and smile.

She looked at the message again.

K. Nice to see you stopped being a wallflower at the party. -Ocean
She didn't know how to respond so she sent the message to Jas.

K. Nice to see you stopped being a wallflower at the party. -Ocean - Lily

"Lily do you want some French toast?" Her father asked, he looked at his wife. She smiled.

"Yea I can make you some to if you like Lily." Her mother said.

"No it's o...." Then she noticed her father staring at her with intense eyes. "Um actually yea."

Her father nodded in satisfaction. He came to sit across from her with his coffee and newspaper.

Ocean? -Jas

Yes!! Dude. -Lily

Look at you! You got some one who wants to take you on a date. And somebody else noticing what your doing at a party. - Jas.

Thanks Jas but what do I say back to that. -Lily.

Just say you had to loosen up or something. - Jas.

K -Jas.

Yea I guess. -Lily.

She looked up from her phone. Her mother was busy making French toast and her dad zipped away at his coffee as he read his newspaper. Her brother sitting next to her was in his phone probably texting a girl.
She felt felt like things were changing so much. So much of her life when she was dating Taylor revolved around him. Now her daily routine were different. Even after three months of them being broken up she still felt a loss.

"Good morning." David walked in and kissed his mother.

"Where were you off to this morning so early?"

"Oh I went drop off Celia at work. Smells good ma."

"You want some?"

"If there is enough."

"Of course." And she placed her hand on her cheek and smiled.

Don't go back to your wallflower ways. - Ocean.

Soon after her mother started to arrange plates in front of them. Filled with the requested French toast and eggs but also sausage. She brought a pitcher of orange to the table along with cups. Her father put his paper away. And the siblings put their phones away.

"Looks delicious ma." David said.
