Chapter 21

You look at him in pure shock. This can't be true.

"Yes princess. I'm Mr Kim, leader of the Kim Mafia. Nice to meet you" He put is hand out jokingly. Trying to make this situation less shocking.

"Don't you dare to touch me.." You whisper with a glare.

He takes his hand back with a little smile.

"That's the reason you know all this stuff about me. How long did you followed me then?!" You shout.

"Well maybe it's time for you to know.." He says calmly.

"The last week that the blacks had locked you up by them, I heard about you. I helped you escape that week but you ran away and we lost you. Suddenly Jin saw you walking near your school and that's how I finally found you."

Still in shock you look away from his eyes.

The last day you were with the blacks, you heard a very loud explosion. There was fire everywhere in the building where the Blacks kept you.

The door of you cell was always locked but  suddenly opened together with all the other doors. That happens when there is fire, so people can get to safety.

That gave you the perfect chance to finally run away from that hell. Not long after you've left your cell, gun shots were heard everywhere. Luckily for you, you found another escape route.

"Alright... I believe you but I don't believe that you 'just' heard about me" You say while crossing your arms. "Nobody knows about my powers. Not even my existence when I was by the blacks. So don't tell me that you just heard of me."

He looks suddenly nervous. His self-confidence sinks into the ground. "I'm telling you the truth Soojin"

"Look into my eyes Taehyung" He does what you say, "And tell me that you are telling me the whole truth" You say quietly. "Promise me."

"Ah God Soojin..." He whispers while closing his eyes tight. He is still for a few seconds but opens then his eyes again. "Okay I will tell you the truth but don't freak out Princess."

You nod slowly. If there is one thing you're terrified of, then it is Mafia. Still you stay strong and keep looking into his eyes.

He sighs. "When I was young, my father's mafia was really good friends with the Blacks"

You gasp while backing of a little.

"They worked a lot together for big money business." He looks embarrassed while talking about it.

"The day you turned 11 years old, I was 14 years old so my father was still leader untill I was ready."

That's why you found them a little to old looking for school. It honestly surprises you that they didn't get caught.

"You turned 11 and the Blacks finally found your control over your powers. They called us to show you to us. I went together with Namjoon, my father and Jin because I was old enough. When I arrived I saw you sitting on that chair with handcuffs around your hands and totally weak. Your eyes were light red. Mr Song said that it was because of the liquid. I... I couldn't see you like that... Even though I didn't know you... It was horrible."

He pauzes for a second, then he continued. "Mr Song said that you got trained for 5 years and that he wants to put you into missions to kill people. Your skills were amazing for an 11 years old."

You freeze in shock. What if he got the chance to put you into missions like that? You would have killed more innocent people then.

"He said that because of the liquid you always listened to him. You did everything he said without hesitating. It was awful so see you like that. I remember that you were staring at me... Without emotions while you are lightky shaking."

Taehyung looks at you while suddenly taking your hand.

"After our visit I told my father that we had to help you. He already thought the same so we made a plan to help you. The plan was successful and when we entered your cell, you princess... you ran away."

You kept quiet the whole time he spoke. You can't believe it. Another mafia helped you escape from that hell.

Your brain starts fighting. Can you trust him or not?

"Soojin... Please say something" Taehyung whispers

"I- How-" You closed your eyes for a second. "Can- can I really trust you Taehyung?"

You open your eyes while staring into his. All the anger left your body while fear isnt leaving at all.

He nods immediately. "Of course Soojin. I want you to be safe. I'm serious about that. I don't do this for your powers."

The tears start to roll over your cheeks once again. You feel so lost. "I don't know if I can trust you..."

"We were close friends with the Blacks. That was before we know what they did to you. The day we found out.. We hated them. The loyalty and trust we had for them was gone the second I saw you sitting on that chair. I didn't even thought twice... I promised myself that I would get you away from there."

He looks at you and notices that you don't say a word. "I'm really telling you the truth right now."

You finally managed to speak up. "Taehyung" you whisper

"Yes Princess?"

"I'm scared" You look straight into his eyes now. "I'm so scared Taehyung. I'm terrified. I can't do this anymore. The people I love, die because of me." You whisper while crying.

The emotions you kept for 7 years or more, are now coming out. You can't hold them.

Taehyung looks at you and takes your hands in his.

"I promise you that you are safe here. I may be a mafia leader but I only killed criminal who murdered or did other terrible stuff." He whispers.
"I will take care of you. I promise you that. I really want you to be safe."

"But why Taehyung? Why? Your life is in big danger because of me. Why would you keep me here if I'm such a danger. " You whisper

He looks at you with his dark red eyes. "I... I.." He whispers while trying to find the right words.

You were about to say something but suddenly you couldn't.

Because Taehyung kisses you.

He kisses you like you were made of glass. Carefully, like you could break anything.

You were in shock but responds immediately. Something in you want this. He takes your waist and pulls you closer while his lips are moving slowly against yours.

After a few seconds, he breaks the kiss and rests his forehead on yours. Still holding your waist.

"Because Princess... I lost myself the moment I met you. Because you keep showing up in my thoughts. Because I keep dreaming about you. Because you make me feel happy when I just see you. Because you are so special and so beautiful... " He whispers in one breath.

"Because KimSoojin... I'm in love with you"
