We headed inside and sat at the table again. Peggy was still sleeping. "Will she be alright?" I asked. Luke nodded a serious look on his face, "We still need to talk you about your scores though. I don't have the results of the first test you took, but I have the results of the one you just took." "And?" I prompted. Luke didn't seem to be a serious person.

"These results show that you have two abilities, but they branch out into more. Two abilities is already a little unusual seeing as most people only have one. That doesn't mean it's never happened before." He glanced up to meet my eyes. "The branching out part is strange. It could be a computer error, or you could have many abilities that mainly revolve around those two."

"What are my abilities?" I questioned as I processed it all. "Shapeshifting and fire," he responded in all seriousness. "It just doesn't make sense, how can the abilities branch out? How can they combine?" Luke rambled. "HQ will find out, but I haven't finished telling you everything. Turns out, you have a 86 percent chance of bonding with a dragon egg. That means you most likely will have to raise a dragon."

Ma sputtered, "But, that means she'll have to move schools." Luke nodded. "She's going to have to. She needs to be taught and needs to learn how to care for dragons." Ma sighed, "We can't go with her, can we?" "No," he said simply. "It's late, we should go to sleep," I said as I walked awkwardly towards the stairs.

The next day, when I woke up, it was midday. "Mom's gonna kill me," I said as I hurried to get ready for the day.

I stumbled down the steps and was greeted with the floor. "Ow," I groaned. "Does she do this every morning?" Luke said to someone. I looked up, that 'someone' was my mom. "You alright, Rubi?" she said while grinning. I gave her a thumbs up an got off the floor.

"I'm sorry for waking up late, ma. Is there anything I can help with?" I said timidly. "No need to be sorry. After all, you did go through a lot yesterday," she responded. Huh? She isn't angry? She continued,"There's nothing to help with, but you can hear your results from Peggy. And there's a sandwich in the fridge."

After getting the sandwich from the fridge, I walked over to the table where Peggy and Luke were. "Finally here for your results, kid?" Peggy said groggily. I nodded, my face stuffed with a ham and cheese sandwich. "Alright, so in every scenario there was always people to save. You always saved them, which isn't unusual, but you were too careless and selfless. You got yourself into more danger than I thought was possible. You ran in front of bullets, cars, trains, literally anything."

I heard mom sigh from the kitchen. "Also, just so you know, my mind was connected to yours since I was basically showing you those things. You were always thinking they were in more danger than you. You were in more danger than them most times," Peggy said angrily. I grumbled, "Well, they needed to be saved. It's not like I could just leave them." "You're right it's not like you could leave them to die, but you never thought up a plan. You never stopped to think of what you were doing, you just did it. Everything was instinct," Peggy said with a frown on her face.

I sighed. Peggy huffed, "Enough with me scolding you, your Character is a good one, but you need to learn to think and act appropriately in situations. That's it."

I watched TV in the living room with Luke and Peggy after they recommended schools for me to go to. They were only staying for a little while since Peggy still felt the after effects of her ability.  I sighed. This was super boring. And my body still hurt all over from falling down the tree.
