Now when Hyunjin declared that he is never going to talk to Seungmin ever again, oh he freaking means it. For the next two weeks, Hyunjin avoids ever looking at Seungmin's way. This isn't that much of a problem since Seungmin seems to also be ignoring Hyunjin. Despite what happened on those two days, it seems as if everything is back to normal, where both of them don't know each other at all. Thing is, they know of each other's existence now, and it aggravates Hyunjin very badly. Why? Because he actually starts noticing Seungmin whenever he is around. Walking to class? Oh, Seungmin is going in the same direction. Eating at lunch? Oh, Seungmin sits at the table across from him. Just why the hell is Seungmin of all of sudden, starting to appear near Hyunjin more? It just makes Hyunjin uncomfortable now. And it annoys him. A lot.
The bell rings, meaning that lunch is over. Hyunjin sighs in relief and glances at Seungmin's back, who sits at the table in front of his before dashing out of the cafeteria. Hyunjin has AP Capstone next, his least favorite subject. He walks into the classroom and sits on his seat all the way in the back. Hyunjin sighs in relief, able to actually breathe for once now that he doesn't have to be in the same room as a certain someone. Hyunjin taps his fingers on the table in boredom and watches as students file into the room. He freezes when Seungmin comes in through. Hold up.
'SINCE WHEN WAS HE IN THIS CLASS?'
Hyunjin gapes in horror, as his heart rate starts to slowly increase. His eyes follow the cherry haired boy as he takes his seat next to the window. Did Hyunjin not pay attention in this class to the point where he doesn't even know that Seungmin is in the same class?! Hyunjin groans and puts his head down.
'This ain't it...this just ain't it...'
"Alright class, I am about to assign you your very first project of the school year."
Groans were heard but the teacher, Mr. Moon just ignores it and carries on. "Don't complain. In fact, what I have here is quite fun." Mr.Moon holds up two black top hats.
"Now, here I have are two hats. This one has pieces of paper with the topics. Every topic is labeled on two pieces of paper. So all of you will take one and whoever has the same topic as you will be the person you debate against. And for the second hat, half of these are labeled 'pro' and the other 'con'. This will decide which side you will be researching for your topic. Now everyone please come up and take one piece from the topics hat".
Students start to whisper amongst themselves, several confused about the assignment as they slowly file to the teacher's desk. Hyunjin stares at the crowding pool of students with a grimace. When almost all clear, Hyunjin stands with a huff and strolls to the front. He takes the last piece of paper from the hat and walks back to his seat, not even glancing at the piece of paper.
"Okay now quiet down, quiet down. I get it, you're excited, but please listen. Everyone can now look at what they have. Afterward, find which other classmate has the same topic as you and come up to me so that you guys can pick out of the other hat. I have high expectations for each debate, as all of you are in the graduating class. Oh, and one more thing. Whoever delivers the best performance in each debate will receive extra credit, as well as a homework pass. That's all, you may begin to come now," Mr. Moon informs.
The volume of the room immediately shoots up with the number of students bustling around, trying to find their partners. Hyunjin stares at all the excited students that had someone they know to debate with. There are a few girls that sigh in disappointment, whispering to each other how they want to be paired with Hyunjin. Hyunjin decides to ignore them and looks down at the paper in his hand. He unfolds the paper, only to read two words that Hyunjin feels absolutely unsettled on. He literally feels his stomach drop. The words "THE CHOOSING" seem to mock him in a very despicable manner. Hyunjin glares at the paper and crumbles it up.
