"(Y/N), we've got a problem." Chris said as soon as I stepped in the door.
"Fucking Hell," I swore, "If Amanda is a no show again, I swear I will rip her spine out and whip her with it." Chris gave me a slightly horrified expression at my outburst.
"No...she's here today," He said, glancing around the corner, "For once in her afterlife. I meant there is a problem in the holding room."
"What? Some pissy guest that thinks they didn't get enough air time?" I rolled my eyes, heading down the hallway towards the room we kept for guests to relax in before they went on air.
Just as I was about to open the door, Christ planted himself between it and me, "(Y/N), you can't go in there."
"And why the hell not?" I snapped. My hangover was not putting me in the right mindset to deal with this. Pushing Chris off to the side, I threw open the door, thinking I was mentally prepared to deal with whatever it was on the other side.
I was very, very wrong.
"Well, good morning, my dear." Alastor's grin stretched across his face when he saw me in the doorway, "Did you like the flowers I sent you?"
