One perk about owning a radio station was the access to concerts. Another perk was getting to throw that access into certain people's faces. At the current moment, I was waiting for Alastor outside a small venue. The opening set, some no name local band, was playing. Their music filtered out the open door as I took a drag off a joint I had lit when I came out.
"You look like an ad for an anti drug campaign." Alastor's voice chuckled as he appeared from the shadows. Exhaling a puff of smoke, I shrugged before taking another drag.
"DARE was a bigger joke than Robert Patterson playing Batman." I replied, putting out the joint. Alastor gave me an odd look, not understanding the joke.
"And who exactly is playing tonight?" He asked, changing the subject.
"A Volbeat cover band," I said, "Seeing as how they're not dead, this is the next best thing. They're not half bad, actually."
"Volbeat?" Alastor gave me a confused look.
"You know," I elaborated, "Still Counting, Hangman's Body Count, Warrior's Call?" The radio demon just shook his head. I sighed, then smiled.
"Come on," I said, taking his hand as I turned towards the door, "Come see for yourself."
