The sound of a deadly spear piercing flesh at lightning speed was the only thing I could hear within the confines of the forest. It was so fast, I barely understood what had happened until the deed was already done. Before I could blink a second time, Amon had retracted the deadly Magic. All that was left was Celine's limp, mutilated body.

My ears started to ring. I felt the blood drain from my head. Seeing the fragile woman covered in blood made me dizzy. The trauma was clearly more than I could handle, because as soon as I registered the gory scene before me, my heart was galloping through my body and my breathing was fast and shallow. I couldn't control my limbs as they began to shake. I could only guess that the trauma I was seeing before me was causing cognitive imprints in my mind.

Trying to stay grounded, all I could do was stare. I watched as I tried to sail through the waves of my panic, fearing for Seth's response. He was still holding her tight to his chest, even as she had fallen limp in his arms. Spatters of blood graced his cheeks, and he was staring straight ahead. The light in his eyes was gone.

My panicked state caused me to fear the worst. Was he even functioning right now? He was holding his dying sister in his arms as he stared, emotionless. He hadn't moved an inch.

Uncontrollable tears fell from my eyes as I kneeled on the ground, attempting to hold my hand out to him for comfort. For sanity. For anything. It didn't matter if he had lied to me and kept viable truths from me. He needed someone.

Behind me, Amon was still holding me by the hair, which he roughly jerked in a warning motion. I wasn't permitted to get too close.

A soft, entertained chuckle escaped Amon's lips.

"Not a single reaction, Seth? Clearly I taught you well."

I felt my stomach sink into my feet. This man truly was the devil.

But Amon got what he wanted. Seth blinked, then his face began to morph. His eyes clouded over, and he opened his mouth as he clenched his teeth. He was starting to breath heavier; I guessed his body was starting to suffer trauma as well.

"S-Seth..?"

I called his name, but he couldn't hear me. He was staring behind both Amon and I. His face was collected, but I began to fear him. He laid Celine's lifeless body on the ground, then stood up. But something was off. His movements were stiff and awkward.
Almost...deranged...

"You will pay."

Seth's voice was deep. It was laced with utter hatred.

Amon began to chuckle louder in his throat. He stood up, naturally bringing me with him by pulling my hair. I winced and grabbed his hands instinctively, trying to lessen the pain. His blood from my scratches upon his fingers was matting my hair.

"Is that so? Show me what you'll do to me, insolent peasant." The Magic King spat his insult. Seth didn't flinch.

Silence passed between us. The wind whipped through the trees, causing a rustling stir of nature. The moon hung overhead, engulfing us in an apprehensive light. The tension between us was unbearable.

The 10 of Spades began to breathe quicker and more shallow. His body was covered in his sister's blood. His one hand had gashes along his palm, and was dripping his own life force.
But suddenly, something began to change.

A flicker passed through his brown eyes. It was only a fraction of a second. But it was noticeable.

Red?

Amon saw it too. I glanced back at him and he was grinning like a mad man. He threw his hood from his head to show his bright silver hair. He began laughing hysterically loud. Like an evil clown.
