(Enter Flashback - Seth P.O.V)

I stood in the courtyard, the bright daylight shining through the tree's and piercing my tired eyes. I was panting due to fatigue, and was holding my right shoulder with my left hand. The King of Spades had managed to best me so far in Magic attacks alone, showing me that I truly couldn't control this skill that somehow remained dormant in my body for the entirety of my life.

This entire day so far had been such a blur, learning that Amon and the Magic Tower had specifically targeted my parents. Then suddenly last night I was able to use Magic..

Kelly's fearful face danced through my memories for what felt like the hundredth time that day. I grit my teeth.

"You said you would explain the origin of my powers to me." I stared at Ray, an edge of irritation in my voice. The King across from me broke a soft smile onto his genuine features.

"It seems you need a break. Come on, I'll tell you."

He gestured over to Sirius' pride and joy - the garden's. I stepped towards Ray and we fell in line beside eachother as we walked.

"The Hyde family name has always been popular and well respected, even before you were born."

He began, placing his hands behind his head casually as he walked.

"Just like the Godspeed name, despite your family not owning any property or large companies like they did, the Hyde's are known for one single, unique thing. Something that has been kept from you since you came into this world."

I glanced over at Ray, feeling my stomach tighten into nervous knots.

"What do you mean?"

"Generations of Hyde men have served under the Black Army as various titles, from Kings, to Queens, to Jacks and Ten's. Your ancestors have come in and out of these castle doors for years and years - and despite them all having different and unique lives, they all had one thing in common."

His pause made me feel on edge. I slowed my walk and stopped. Ray noticed and stopped a step or two infront of me, before turning to face me. His face was gravely serious.

"Every man from each generation of your family have all been natural Magic users."

"WHAT!?"

Ray laughed softly.

"It started with your grandfather..."

As Ray began telling the story, vision's filled my imagination...

~~~~~~~
My grandfather, Charles Hyde, having just hit the ripe age of 64, walked down the cobblestone path in the Central Quarter - hand in hand with my grandmother Fiona Hyde, who was only 2 years younger. The two walked slowly and peacefully, holding eachothers hands and donning silver accents in their hair. The two were talking and smiling, my grandmother happily laughing at some silly jokes my grandfather told her. They were enjoying a peaceful summer evening walk. Their lives were slowing down, along with their bodies, and because they were both getting so close to retirement age, they spent their evenings together on these walks. Talking about their future, and how they would spend their time now that they would both be leaving their jobs soon.
