(Anndd this is the end for Seth's story! Thank you again to all who followed this story through the updates. I apologise for the long waits between chapters, I went through a major project at work where I was doing tons of overtime, as well as a death in my family during these past months.
But thank you for sticking by! As a happy thanks to all the fans reading my stories, here is a feel good end chapter to finish off Seth :3
Finally, after this I will be starting a fanfic for Luka! So if your interested in reading, please stay tuned! )
(One month later, Kelly P.O.V)
"You don't need to pack this. Or this. Ew, this either."
Seth began flinging shirts of mine across the room, towards the already overflowing garbage bin at the other side of my bed.
I was currently packing up makeup and other jewellery trinkets I had been given as gifts from the Black Army.
"Why did you even buy this? Kelly this is so last year."
My now boyfriend and best friend took one look at a cute skirt I had bought in town two weeks ago, scoffed at the style, then threw it over his shoulder without a care.
He had been helping me pack my things for a half an hour now. We had about 2 hours till sunset, and about 4 hours until midnight, when the hole in the garden would open up and I would be able to finally return to my world.
It had been so long I was starting to forget some small details of what my old apartment looked like.
"Nope, nope, nope." Each syllable the 10 of Spades spoke meant another piece of clothing was being dashed towards the "never again will you wear this so long as I live", pile.
I finally managed to gently wrap the last of my fragile jewellery in tissue paper and placed it in my storage box. Coincidentally, the last thing I packed was the golden necklace with the teal pendant that Seth had given me on our first date last month. I smiled as I wrapped it, remembering the fond memories it brought when I finally locked it in the storage case.
"And done!" I squeaked happily and picked up the case, turning away from my vanity-
To see my room was a complete disaster. While my back was turned this whole time, Seth had thrown clothes literally everywhere.
"W-WHA!? Seth what have you done!?!"
Wide eyed, I stared in shock at the current state of my room. I looked at the overflowing pile that was now my tiny garbage bin.
"...hey!! I like these clothes!!!" I dashed to the pile and began picking out my garments: skirts, dresses, shirts and shorts.
Seth blinked then widened his eyes in complete offense.
"!!Alice!! How can you possibly want those clothes!? They are beyond out of style!"
He picked up another shirt I had packed in my suitcase, pouted at it, then proceeded to dash it into the pile.
I jumped to grab it.
"Hey!" I angrily called, stomping over to him with ixnayed clothes in my hands.
"You can't just throw all my things out because you don't like them!" I retorted in frustration.
Seth turned to look at me, remaining silent as he studied my face. He took a few moments, pouting in focus as he thought of how to respond.
Then, out of nowhere:
"OH YOU'RE JUST SO CUTE!"
With stars in his eyes, he leapt at me and grabbed me by the shoulders, pulling me towards him and placing his forehead to rest on mine. He began giving me an affectionate Eskimo kiss, rubbing our noses together in bliss. Instantly my cheeks burst into flames.
"How can I possibly stay mad at you for having such bland style when you make that cute little angry face!!★★"
All of my frustrations melted in an instant at seeing him so happy. This entire month had been a struggle; with all the trauma Seth had been through. Getting him to open up to me was a daunting task, and I had only in the last week been able to talk to him personally about his feelings about his tragic past. It was a day to day improvement, and I had been determined to help support and comfort him when he needed it.
In all honesty, this week marked the first week he began to get back to his old, silly, girly ways.
In seconds Seth's overbearing clingyness moved from rubbing noses to hugging me tightly and burying his head in my neck. He held me as close as he could, grinning like a happy little boy all the while.
"So-so-cute!"
After a few moments of letting him have his fun, I finally laughed nervously and tapped his shoulder, beginning to push off his tight hug.
"Okay, okay Seth. Come on, I have to finish 'repacking' my suitcase before the full moon comes."
He broke away with an innocent smile. I noticed his cheeks were glowing in bashfullness also, and it made my heart jump.
"Silly princess. I really don't know why you're packing so much. We can just go shopping in town and get you better, more up to date clothes."
He tapped my nose with a finger and a wink.
I frowned.
"But..I don't possibly have money for a whole new wardrobe Seth! Besides...you're tastes in fashion for me are so expensive!"
Seth laughed softly and tapped his uniform coat inside pocket. It chimed softly, signalling he had quite the amount of Lin in it. Lin was the currency of Cradle.
"I am you're boyfriend after all. What kind of guy would I be if I didn't spoil you, even if it was in you're own world?"
Seth put a hand on my head and ruffled my hair. I blinked, then grabbed his wrist.
"Seth that's Lin!!! That's not British pounds! I can't use that in my world!"
My boyfriend's broad smile suddenly turned devilish, and he leant down so the tips of our noses touched. His eyes looked extremely suspicious.
"Well well...I guess that means I'll have to barter with Magic Crystals then..."
He put a hand on my shoulder and it began to glow, his fingertips heating up with magic and heating up my skin in turn as well.
I blinked and gaped at him. Seth saw my shock and pulled away fast, giggling teasingly.
"Y-YOU CANT DO THAT!" I squeaked, beginning to flail my arms.
My boyfriend then put his fingers together and held them up to his eye level, framing my face in his fingertips.
"My woman is the most beautiful in all of Cradle. I intend to ensure her wardrobe exemplifies that, by any means necessary."
His tone was so matter of fact, my heart skipped another fast beat.
Before I could retort, Seth glanced around my half empty suitcase, added one more top, then shut the lid and zipped it closed. He picked it up swiftly with a strong arm, then headed for the door.
"I'm already packed. Any clothes you're missing, we will buy new ones in the Land of Reason."
Seth opened the door and was about to walk out, but paused, clearly in thought.
He suddenly turned back to me with a handsome, jaw dropping smile.
"I'm going to get you all to myself for an entire month before we return to Cradle."
His brown eyes were so soft and joyous, they could melt even the coldest of hearts.
"I've never been more excited for anything in my life 🖤"
And with that, he turned and began down the hallway, leaving my mouth open and my face awash in a bright red blush as I watched his gorgeous figure walk away.
My stomach turned over. It was then and there that I realised..
I truly am lucky.
