(Kelly P.O.V)

I woke from a deep sleep to the smell of cold, damp brick flooring underneath me. That musty scent was profound and unique; so before I opened my eyes, I knew I was still in the tower.

I sat up slowly, the small window near the ceiling of my cell glowing with the warmth of the sunrise outside.

To my surprise, even with my robe on, I was comfortable and dry. I remembered passing out last night due to a fever, but normally I would wake the morning after both sweaty and cold. This morning, I felt fine. Dry, warm, and less uncomfortable than most nights.

I blinked, confused. As I searched my memories for fragments from last night, I then remembered that one disciple. Pence, I think his name was.
He was the one that took me back to my chambers.

I slowly stood up and dusted off my large robe.

I would have to make sure I thanked him before I broke out tonight.

------------

I stumbled into my chambers and a disciple slammed the door behind me, locking it.

It was nearing 8pm, and within the hour, I would be running from this tower and to the Central Quarter.

Tonight was the full moon, and I wasn't about to let my chance of going back home to safety go to waste.

I kneeled down on the dungeon ground and sighed softly, watching the disciple turn away and leave the chambers. Once I was sure he was out of sight of me, I took the sandwich and handful of grapes I had smuggled from the pantry from my sleeve and began eating furiously. Amon seemed quite distracted tonight, so his testing of my Magic skills were less harsh. But I knew that in order for me to get out, I had to have as much energy as possible.

Frankly, my plans had gone off without a hitch today. Not only was I able to smuggle food, but I also was able to steal Amon's key to my chambers from his bedside nightstand.

It had been the perfect opportunity. One of Amon's disciples had lead me out to meet with him, but some younger, inexperienced recruits had been causing a ruckus downstairs. Both the guard and Amon rushed to contain the issue, and so I was able to search around. I found the key instantly and hid it in my pocket.

Now, as the sun was setting, I just had to wait until Amon fell asleep. Then I would be home free.

~~~~~~~
I did it. I really did it!!
It had all happened so fast. I unlocked the door and walked quietly and calmly out of the chambers.
Hearing Amon snoring in his room, I was able to tiptoe out into the hallway, and with my hood up and my slow, calm walk that I had perfected over time to impersonate the disciples, I was easily able to slip into the courtyard.
Once I got outside; hearing the crickets and the nature of the forest that surrounded the Tower, my heart began to beat uncontrollably fast. I made it. I was out. And I did it all on my own. I didn't have to fear or rely on Seth anymore. My most trusted, but most hurtful friend here in Cradle.
Now, I could simply disappear into the night and jump into the hole in the garden. I was home free.
Relieved tears welled in my eyes, but I blinked them away. It wasn't the time to celebrate yet, Kelly.
I regained character as a disciple, and continued my slow, careful walk out of the courtyard, keeping my head low and my hood over my eyes. I could hear disciples walking about and talking to eachother nearby, but not a single one paid me any attention.
