She clenched and unclenched her fists. Her breathing was back to normal - short, steady breaths - and her innards no longer felt like it was on fire. In fact, she felt wonderful. A reservoir of energy rushed into her senses. She laughed in relief. She felt alive. She felt free. She felt power. It was intoxicating. This hatred was thrilling, it created a stir that love could never create. Unlike the warmth that radiated from love, hatred broke contained walls and unlocked limitless capabilities. Love was contained, securing and safe. Hatred was chaotic. It flunctuated and ate away the barriers, leaving her high.
One word bounced off the darkness, reverberating through her bones; revenge. Revenge. REVENGE. A strangled laugh escaped her throat and rang through the darkness alongside the whispered words of revenge. She cackled and her eyes burned with a new intensity. A maniacal grin plastered across her face. She was livid. Insanity was born in these blue doors.
No more Love. No more Happiness. No more Tears. No more Sadness. She didn't need these useless emotions. It dragged her down and sheltered her. No more did she need them. Now, she basked in the darkness. Hatred ever so prominent, ever so intense. Revenge was the only thing she could think about. She won't stop until this revenge is quenched.
These new emotions etched her way into her body, piercing through her skin, breaking through the tissue, soaking through her veins into her heart. It corroded it away, leaving no trace of feeling and an absence, an emptiness of satisfaction. All that was left was...insanity.
