"Yo Alex!" I call. "What was all that about?"

He shrugs and continues walking. "Don't worry about it. Its not a big deal"

"You took a gun and ran into a building with no context. That sounds like a pretty big deal to me"

"Just... Don't worry about it. Lets just say i ran into a bit of trouble."

"Im guessing there was a zombie or something?"

"Yeah. Something like that..."

Oh yeah sure. Thats totally not suspicious. Hamilton is definitely just some normal guy- god i can't wait to prove john wrong.

"Hey guys, i know a way to get back to the house quicker" hamilton calls.

"What do ya mean, Alex?" John asks.

"We just need to find a car, preferably an electric one."

"Hamilton you idiot. If there's no one worki g to keep electricity flowing, how do you expect to power the car?" I scoff.

"Dont worry about it. Just leave it all to me"

"Uh yeah sure whatever. Well while you go risk your life for something that won't even work, Laurens and i are gonna head back home where its 'safe' " i say as we walk off. Hamilton shrugged disappeared into the distance. Idiot.

So Hamilton didnt come back for a few hours. Any longer and I'm pretty sure john would've killed me.

But you know what i heard? The sound of tires screeching and a random car horn.

(It was this.^It took way too long to find out what the name of the tune was and twice as long to find this afterwards)

"Yo! Everyone get your asses out here! I did something cool!" Jefferson was one of the first to walk out. Ha, who's the idiot now?

Washington was the last the last one out and seemed just as surprised as everyone else. "Holy- son, what did you do?" He asks.

"Simple. I hotwired an electric car which had just enough power for a short drive. So i drove for a bit, found a generator and charged the car. Then I found some solar panels and welded them to the roof of the car and conected them to the engine- none of you understand me, do you?"

I sigh. "I made a car powered by the Sun."

"Holy shit." Laf said. "This is awesome!-"

Jefferson cuts him off. Of course he does. "Hey i got a question. What were you majoring in in college?"

"...law" i reply.

"Uh huh. So mind explaining how some 19 year old that practiced law, managed to upgrade an entire car?"

"Well um, you see I uh.." I tugged at my collar while casually disappearing into the house.

Ya know, i got bit the other day and i really wish I turned already. Would've really saved me from that situation. Actually, becoming a zombie doesnt sound too bad right now
