The Georgia sun beat down on her skin letting her know that the heat of this place would soon soak into her body, giving her a sense of achievement.
Her friend Candace had paid for her to come to visit as she was a life long walking dead fan. However, an accident that happened when the show hit season 3 left her blind so she was unable to watch the show with her eyes. But she would listen to what was going on while her sister described everything that was happening on the screen.
For her 30th birthday, her sister had bought her tickets to go to Walker Stalker in London. Everyone had been so nice and the stars that she had met made sure that her hands were held to their faces so she could "picture" them in her mind.
Her only regret was not getting a chance to meet Norman Reedus. Her sister had tried valiantly to get her the autograph but his tickets sold out so quickly that she missed out.
Now though, her friend had paid for her to come to Georgia. She had her faithful seeing-eye dog Dixon with her but as she was helped off of the plane she felt his loss because he needed to be in the cargo hold while flying. The flight attendant assured her that they would bring her golden retriever to her straight away so, here she was, sat on the little golf cart while they grabbed her companion.
Candace said she would meet her in the airport so, once Dixon was by her side, the golf cart took her and her pooch to the area. They had also grabbed her suitcase which had been placed by Dixon so she didn't have to worry about anyone helping her get it off the belt.
"Sadi." Candace's voice sounded from somewhere in front of her before a pair of strong arms enveloped her in a bone-crushing hug. "I'm so glad you are here." Candace placed Sadi hands on her face as the two women had never met in real life. Instead, their love for Supernatural and The Walking Dead had bought them together via Facebook.
"I'm glad to be here but I'm so tired." She said as her friend grabbed her suitcase before taking her spare hand in her own. The flight had taken 14 hours and she hadn't been able to sleep a wink, worry in her gut about Dixon as he was left in the cargo hold.
She knew when they had stood outside as the heat of the mid-morning sun enveloped her, causing sweat to pool on her brow. Dixon began pulling her towards an area just away from the doors and she assumed that he had found a grassy patch to relieve himself.
Once he had done his business and Candace used the doggy bag to clean up the mess she led her towards some vehicle.
"In you get Dixon," Candace remarked as she helped both Dixon and Sadi into the car.
"Where are we going?" Sadi asked as jet lag pulled at her body.
"I'm taking you home for a couple of hours to sleep and then we are going to the set," Candace replied as the deep throttle of the engine started.
Excitement swirled in her stomach; maybe now she would finally meet her favorite star of the show. She knew filming had started this week thanks to Candace keeping her updated.

She woke to the soft sounds of the fan as it thumped in a slow rhythm. As soon as they got back to Candace's she had literally collapsed on the bed to get a few hours kip. While she was still feeling dead tired her heart thumped in excitement when she realized they were visiting the walking dead set today. Grabbing her stick she made her way out of the bedroom where she could hear the soft lilt of Candace's voice as she spoke to someone in her apartment.
"Thanks for doing this? I didn't know how else to get her the backstage passes to the set."
"No problem." The English accented Male voice replied, "any friend of yours is a friend of mine." The voice sounded familiar but she was unable to place it.
"I'm serious Andy. This is something I know she will enjoy. I was there on the other end of the phone when she found out she was blind, and I really wanted to do something to cheer her up. It only took me 3 years." Sadi's breath caught in her throat. She knew where she recognized that voice, it was the same voice who helped her up when she was at Walker Stalker when some kids had banged into her and knocked her over. That was before she had Dixon. The voice belonged to Andrew Lincoln.
"Dixon come here boy." She called to her companion and was pleased to hear him bound up to her. She could hear the soft chuckle of Andrew Lincoln as he said to her "Daryl Dixon fan then." Grabbing hold of the dog harness she rounded the corner.
"Did you sleep well?" Candace asked her.
"I did thanks. I don't feel so jet-lagged now." She said with a sigh.
"Well, Sadi I'd like to introduce you to my friend Andy." As she put her had out to shake the man's hand he pulled them up so she could feel his face.
"I remember you. At Walker Stalker London right?" He asked as she traced his chiseled faced with her hands
"Yes. You helped me back up when those kids banged into me." She turned in the general direction of Candace. "I didn't have Dixon then and these little shits ran full pelt into me. They knocked me on my arse and my stick went flying." She turned back to the man in front of her. "My sister told me you saw what happened from the stage and jumped down. You grabbed my stick on the way before you came to help me up and made sure I was ok."
She felt him smile against her hands before she pulled them away.
"Yes, I did. I could see you were struggling and no one even stopped to help you up."
She smiled at the memory. "I wasn't the only one to notice, Norman and JDM saw from where they were on the balcony signing autographs. They both text me when I got to you asking if you were ok."
"OMG that is so embarrassing." She said as she felt her face flush.
"Don't be embarrassed. So are you ready to get to the set? I've got backstage passes here for you both and a special badge for Dixon." He said as he placed a square thing in her hand before he bent down to where Dixon was. She assumed he was putting a seeing-eye dog badge on him too. Realizing it had a lanyard she placed it quickly around her neck.
"Is it the right way?" She asked,
"Yep, it is. Let's go Sadi." Candace said as she started to guide her out of the apartment.
