Carrie walked down the long, high school hallways, trying to make it to math class. It was her second week of school, and she had already made friends with two other girls named Sky and Toby. Sky was more of the quite type, but she was still really fun and could be outgoing. Toby was usually happy, but she could also get her moments when she was horribly angry.

The three of them had a lot in common. They all had nice mothers, but they also had a abusive father. Carrie decided she didn't know them well enough to tell them her father was a demon, and she was too. After all, she had just made new friends and she didn't want to loose them so easily. Carrie was snapped out of her thoughts as she bumped into something hard. As she fell, she felt two arms grab her and lift her up. Carrie stared blankly at the man who had caught her. He was tall with dirty blonde hair and you could see his abs through his shirt. He was wearing cargo pants and a white shirt. That boy can really pull of a military look, Carrie thought.

The man smirked at her. "Close your mouth babe, it's not attractive when a fly gets in." Carrie snapped her mouth shut and felt the blood in her face. "I wasn't starring at you, I was looking at something behind you." Carrie lied. The man shook his head chuckling. "It's alright, everyone likes to stare at Shane." He said, putting a hand on Carries shoulder. "First of all, I'm guessing Shane is you." Carrie started, pushing his hand off annoyed. "And second, don't call me babe." Carrie started walking away when she felt a warm hand grab her and whip her around. "Oh now come on babe," Shane said, pulling her close. "You know you like it."

Carrie looked up at him with narrowed eyes, when she noticed something strange. She could see right through him, he had a pitch black heart and black blood to go with it. She could also see every sin he had done. He was the school player, one of his hobbies were breaking girls hearts. He also had a reputation for hurting anyone and everyone who was different, and some of the people he would beat were his family, such as mother and sister.

Carrie shook her head and saw Shane normal again. She narrowed her eyes tighter and kneed him in his special part. Shane let go of her as he fell to the ground, moaning softly in pain. A few people look at him confused and Carrie ran, keeping her gaze straight ahead to avoid getting in another accident. Carrie stopped at the end of the hallway, she was panting and out of breath. The blue door for math class was to her left and she opened the door walking in.

Carrie sat down at her seat in between Sky and Toby. They both gave her looks in confusion as she sat down. "Is it true?" Toby asked excited. Carrie looked at her in confusion. Toby was wearing her red vest with a white shirt under and some black skinny jeans. Her brown curled hair reached to her shoulders, slightly messy and she had a bruise on her arm, most likely from her father. "Is what true?" Carrie asked in confusion. "Did you knee Shane down there?" She explained, slightly annoyed. "That just happened, how do you already know about that?" Carrie exclaimed. She felt a warm hand turn her around and she saw Sky. Her dreads reached down to her neck leading to her purple shirt and blue skinny jeans, and there was a slightly opened wound on her finger

"This is high school sweetie, things spread faster then the flue." Sky said warmly, keeping her hand on Carries shoulder. Carrie was wearing her usual black hoody and some black jeans with white patches. Her light blonde hair was to her shoulders, and her ice blue eyes held a glint of violet in them. Carrie sighed. "He was being a jerk and my instincts took over." She explained. "That didn't mean you had to take the last thing he had that proved he was a man!" Toby proclaimed, making Sky and Carrie laugh loudly. "Quite young ladies!" A males voice called to the back. The three of them turned there heads to see there math teacher, Mr. Road.

He was wearing his usual white shirt with a black vest and a blue bow tie with khakis. He was one of those teachers that most girls would have a crush on, considering he was only 18 and the rest of the girls were 16. "I don't want to have to separate the three of you, so quite down and take notes." Mr. Road said, turning his head back to the board. Carrie and Sky pulled out there notebooks and a pencil as Toby leaned back, ignoring the work Mr. Roads was doing and focusing on the six pack sticking out of his shirt. She let out a sigh of approval and Carrie rolled her eyes. Carrie wasn't looking for a relationship right now, she had already had her heart broken to many times in her freshman years. Carrie blinked her eyes and looked back at Mr. roads to see something strange.

Just as she had seen Shane, Mr. Roads heart was black and he had black blood running through his vains. In his mind, you could see the memories of what he'd done. While in college he was dating a young woman named Marry. Marry was madly in love with Mr. Roads, but he didn't feel the same way. To him, Marry was just a tool he would use. One night when Marry had gotten home, she found Mr. Roads with another women, they were both sleeping soundly in bed.

Carrie shook her head and turned to look at Sky. Sky was starring intensely at Mr. Roads, acting as if she had just seen a ghost. Carrie turned her head to see Toby, her playful smile was gone and she was also starring at Mr. Roads. Carrie opened her mouth to say something but shut it. If Mr. Roads heard them talking about him and his past life, they would probably get detention or everyone would think they were insane. Carrie decided not to talk to them about it until lunch. Even if they did think she was crazy, it would feel good to get everything off her chest, and maybe they saw the same thing she did.

Carrie kept scribbling on the paper, keeping her vision away from Mr. Roads, or slightly glancing at him.
