When Evil Rises

Chapter 7

After they left Marry's farm the girls headed to Carries house since all of them were settled their. Toby and Sky had left to go back to their houses so they could grab some more stuff such as pictures and food. Carrie stayed home though, she was trying to make a warm home for her sisters, but she couldn't seem to do the same for herself. Whenever she walked past her mothers room she felt a ache in her heart knowing that she would never hear her sweet laugh or look into her calming eyes again. Soon Toby and Sky came back with their arms full of stuff. Toby was carrying her TV and pulling her refrigerator behind her, while Sky was carrying all the valuables such as pictures, money, and old stuffed animals.

Carrie had locked herself in her mothers room, the room she was going to use while Toby took her room and Sky pushed two beds from the guest room together. Carrie heard a knock on the door and Toby asked, "Carrie? You in there?" Carrie quickly zipped up a bag she had opened. "Ya I'm in here," She called. "Just doing something." No more questions came and Carrie figured Toby had left. She unzipped the bag again to reveal a soft bundle of fur, white as snow and fluffy as a cloud. The small lamb from Marry's farm looked up at her with his grace blue eyes and, with a yawn, said, "baaaa!"

Carrie stuck a small bottle in the lambs mouth and it began to suckle, closing its eyes as it drank the milk. Toby opened the door and smiled with her knife in her hand. "If you want to lock the door put a chair up so it can't be picked," Toby said with a chuckle. Sky walked into the room smiling but looked down at Carrie and saw the lamb sitting on her bed next to her and sucking the bottle. Her eyes turned red with anger as she looked at the fluffy creature. She hates animals, a voice whispered in Carries head that almost sounded like her fathers. You'd be lucky to keep it after her fit.

Toby wasn't looking at it with anger, but she was a little mad that Carrie had brought a, as Skay said, filthy animal into the house."What is that thing doing here?" Sky said furiously. Carrie shrugged and began to pet the little animal. It licked her hand and snuggled itself into her black hood with a few red stains from Marry's blood splattering on it. I'm never going to clean this, Carrie thought. Both Sky and Toby were looking at her and waiting for a reason. Carrie sighed and she looked down at the lamb again. A name, a name...

"Blade is here because his parents were killed and he was all alone," Carrie said. Sky narrowed her eyes and Carrie nodded. "Yes," she said standing up. "I've named him, and I'm keeping him." Carrie used her super speed and sprinted out of the room, out of the house, and out of the forest until she arrived at her fathers house. She walked at normal speed into the room with the witches bowl and opened the secret passage before arriving in the wide room and rubbing the parts that stung with her hand. Setting the lamb, which she was positive would now be known as Blade, down onto the cobblestone ground and letting him walk around and sniff the floor and walls with interest.

Carrie flipped threw the pages in her book until she found a spell for animals. Mixing a few herbs and stirring it good, she took a bowl and scooped out some of the black substance. Crossing her fingers and sending a silent prayer hoping this would work, she set the bowl down in front of Blade. The white male sheep sniffed the bowl before lapping it up hungrily. His small body started to twitch and his eyes grew darker and darker as his pupils got bigger and soon his eyes turned completely black and hod fur started to turn black as well. Slowly starting from the stomach and came up until all his fur was black exept for a white line down his back. His hooves got sharper until they were like Carries claws. The last thing to change about her once small and innocent lamb was the size of him. Ever part of him got bigger and stronger, he grew a foot so instead of being at Carries knees he was standing on four legs and was up to her chest. He slowly stopped twitching and blinked his black eyes, looking at Carrie and a smile flashed on his face, making his eyes flash black and red and sharp fangs extend from his mouth. He closed his mouth and did a normal, sweet smile and his eyes stopped flashing and they stay the dark black color.

Carrie demonstrated how to run fast and Blade did the same. She smiled and her claws slid out. Blades hooves extended and he smiled, showing his fangs. Carrie smiled at and him and her claws slid back in, as well did Blades. She sprinted using her super speed and ran back to the house, blade running at the same speed as her and he smiled. When they got home she burst threw the door and stood with her arm crossed as Blades chest puffed out with pride. Sky and toby looked at Blade who was no longer a normal lamb as was now a demon and one of them.
