"What now?" Toby asked, sitting on the ground in between Carrie and Sky. Sky shrugged and Carrie was watching the ground. She could feel the calls being made, but she was trying to focus on something else, some thing stronger then the calls. Carrie stood up and walked inside, she could hear Toby and Sky walking behind her. Carrie reached a door in the hallway, it was the same door her father used to go in after he took a strand of her hair. She turned the doorknob and walked in, gasping at what she saw in the dark room. There were shelves with different things on it; skulls, blood stains, jars full of something she couldn't quite make out.
"What is this place?" Sky asked from behind Carrie. No one answer. They were all to awe stricken to look at the witch like place. On one of the shelves sat a small book, the letters "For my Daughters, " was burned into it. Carrie picked up the book and the shelve started to wobble as some weight was lifted off, but soon settled down. When she opened the book the pages started flipping before her, and Sky and Toby were breathing on her shoulder as they watched the books pages. Suddenly it stopped on a page an the writing started to glow.To my dear daughters,
So the time has come? I knew it would, but it came sooner then I thought. For that being, it came. I answered satins calls, doing what I had to do. But he can't find you in here my little ones, although it may sting a little when you step through that next door, it will all be worth it. There is a cross nailed up on the door, satin won't even look into a room with a cross on it that coward. But you have to go in there. You will get used to the sting in time, but for now it will hurt. You may be wondering why you should trust me, and I don't blame you. I have been a cruel father no doubt, but it was all for a reason. If I had been nice to you, you wouldn't be the vicious demons you are now, now would you? I have to end the note soon, the pain is killing me. If I am right, it has been 13 years since I wrote this note. Well then, step through the door and there will be instructions for what you have to do. If you do what you are told, then you will take down satin. Seems impossible? Do it anyway. I was a fool not to, so don't make the same mistake I did. It will take a while, but it will be worth it. The three of you will rule hell, making it like it used to. Making it only for those who sin, and not for innocent people. I must go now, see you in the after life my darlings, for when you succeed, I will be down there with a apology, and I will be a low class demon ready to serve your needs.
Love,
Daddy. They looked at each other in astonishment. There whole lives there father had to,d them that satin ruled all, and that he was scared of nothing. Had that really all been a lie? Carrie put the book back and a creek was heard. She pushed over some of the books to reveal a lever. Carrie pulled the lever and another, louder creak ring threw the small room. Paint started to peal from part of the wall as the stones moved down, showing a large room with a pot in the middle and hundreds of book on shelves. They each took a step toward the door and hissed with pain as they felt there skin start to burn.
Quickly getting her whole body threw, Carrie still felt the sting but it wasn't as strong as it was in the doorway. The door shut again, showing them the cross that had been hammered into the stone wall. Sky pulled on the closest book to her but it didn't budge. Toby and Carrie tried the same, but none of the book would move. Carrie sighed and looked around to see a book propped up on a podium. She picked up the book and like it had done in the last room, the paged flipped by themselves to a certain page before stopping. Only some words glowed and she read them.
"Are these ingredients?" Toby asked as her eyes roamed the page indicating she was reading it. Carrie shrugged before finding a specific part of the book telling them what they had to do. She sat the book down on the podium and left it open so she could look back if she needed to. "You read the letter." Carrie prompted, turning back to look at her sisters. "Do what the book says." She pulled her hood over her head and her eyes turned red. Her claws came out and she smiled, revealing the rows of sharp teeth she had. Tobys' eyes glowed and she carefully unfolded her wings trying not to knock anything down and Sky squeezed her hands tight, her eyes glowed and hatchets formed in her hands.
Carrie used one of her claws to cut off a strand of her hair, and she tossed it into the large, witch like bowl that already had water in it. She walked over to Toby and pulled off one of her feathers and tossed it in with the water. Carrie walked over to Sky and grabbed one of her dreads, only to have it yanked out of her hand. "Don't cut my dreads!" Sky said, backing away from Carrie. "Just take one of my hatchets!" Carrie snarled. "We have to do what the book says, you know that!" Toby prompted. Sky shook her head stubbornly and Carrie snarled again, taking a step closer to her. Toby walked over and grabbed Sky as Carrie walked over and grabbed the smallest dread. She cut most of the hair with her claw and ripped the rest off, making Sky say "Owe!".
Carrie threw the dread into the bowl and picked up three jars on the top of a shelf. She dumped three frog eyes into it, some cow blood and a white feather. She grabbed a stick that was in it a turned it around, turning what was once water into a green paste. She took three empty jars that were sitting in a corner collecting dust and scooped a good amount of the paste into each one. She handed the glasses out and looked at it questionably. Toby drink the green paste and started to gag when she had swallowed it. Sky glanced at her and then back at the jar that she was supposed to drink. Carrie shrugged and plugged her nose before leaning back and drinking the paste, immediately followed with uncontrollable gagging.
When Carrie was able to breath again she noticed that Sky had already drunk it and Toby had recovered, remarkably none of them threw up. "What was the point of that?" Sky asked, sitting down and leaning against the wall. Carrie turned her head and looked back at book and read one of the sentences. "Apparently we have new powers that we will have to try and find on our own." Carrie explained. Sky and Toby groaned and slumped down against the wall in laziness. Carrie optimistically started to walk around seeing if she could stick her hand threw things or if she could break heavy things. She sighed when her attempts failed and walked back over to the book. The paged had turn and a new section glowed. Toby and Sky walked over seeing the bright light glow. "This says the things we might have gotten," Carrie exclaimed with joy. "Breath fire; ice balls; iron fist; healing; invisibility; bringing the dead back; walk threw walls and morphing into living things."They spread up and started to try out the powers listed. First they tried out breathing fire, breathing in and out but nothing happened. They tried them in order but skipped invisibility, unsure of how to test that out. "All we have left is morphing and invisibility," Toby said, smiling. "That means that it has to be one of those two, right?" Sky and Carrie nodded, murmuring in agreement. "Let's try invisibility first," suggested Carrie. "Alright, so let's just close are eyes and be one with our surroundings, let's just pretend that were not here, like we're a ghost. Alright, now close your eyes, band be a ghost," All of them listened to Carries advice and did as they were told. Carrie opened up her eyes and looked at her hands, would she be able to see them if she were invisible or not? "Can you guys see me?" She asked hopefully. "Yes," came the reply from both of them. Carrie looked around the room but she couldn't see them. "I can't see you guys!" She said with a smile. Sky and Toby reappeared in front of her, looking at there hands and each other smiling happily.
"That must mean you have morphing powers, right?" Sky asked hopefully.
