We exited a lift after the most awkward lift 'ride' of my life and he lead me along a dimly lit corridor, where a door with Romeo's initials on it was situated. He opened the door and ushered me in.
It was nicely furnished, light grey and silver walls with dark grey and platinum furniture. But that wasn't what you noticed first. The entirety of what would've been the outside wall had been replaced with an enormous panel of glass. You could see miles of the city. And as it was beyond midnight, the city was lit up beautifully.
"Nice, isn't it?"
Romeo asked, leaning casually on his desk."It's beautiful,"
"The perks of my life,"
He said as he came and stood beside me."What exactly happens in your life, Romeo,"
I turned to him and asked. He spun a massive leather chair around and flopped into it."Have a seat and I'll tell you,"
He gestured to the more regular-sized chair on the other side of his desk.I sauntered around to the other side of his desk and carefully placed myself on the chair. He flung his feet up on his desk and gazed over at me as I folded my arms and crossed my legs.
"Well?"
I asked impatiently."Haha! Oh, this'll be fun,"
He said clapping his hands and standing up.He waltzed over to me and leant on his desk again, only this time, staring back at me as I glared at him.
"You'd be a hell of a lot prettier if you smiled."
He joked. I kicked him in the leg that was closest to me; it was only when I did that, that I remembered I was still wearing my massive heeled boots.
"Jesus, I was joking. You have a nice face,"
I rolled my eyes and he jumped backwards onto his desk, crossing his legs like a child in a classroom."Okay. So how into gangs are you?"
He asked in as much seriousness as he could muster."Not very. Not at all actually,"
I shrugged,"Really? Not even movies? Wow. Anyway, believe it or not but I am the leader of the biggest gang in this city. Mansfield trade."
He watched as my facial expression changed in thought."Never heard of it."
He moaned and rolled his eyes at me."Oh my god woman.....we specialise in the trade of arms and other weaponry. But we have a huge problem right now and I need help fixing it."
I looked him up and down."Why me?"
I spat. He smirked,"I have access to every record about every person in the city. The second you set foot in my office the security cameras got a shot of your face and ran facial recognition, I found your high school and college records and the government record of anything that's happened since then. I also have photos of all the forms of ID you currently possess."
He reached back and pulled a massive tablet out of one of the drawers in his desk.
"Here,"
He uploaded my high school files and gave me the tablet. I scrolled through all my tests grades and levels from when I was 11 til 16."Juliet Rai, you have exceptional intelligence and I would love it if you could instruct my team on how to fix our fucking problems,"
I looked him up and down again and felt a smirk arise on my face at an almost devilish thought."What do I get out of it?"
"I saved you from your boyfriend who from what I could see was trying to uh, have his way with you. The deal was that I helped you and you'd help me."
"Yeah, but what do I get from helping you,"
I leant forward on his desk and smiled mischievously. He leant down so his face was close to mine and traced his finger along my jawline."How about we wait and see,"
He said grinning. I grinned back as he winced at what I knew was a sharp pain in his back.
"What are you doing?!"
He yelped grabbing my wrist."Tell me your intentions with me,"
He fidgeted at the fact that my facial expression hadn't changed with the action I was making and the words I'd just said. He reached around to his back and grasped my hand in such a way that I dropped the knife onto the desk behind him.He pulled me by both my arms onto the desk and leant over me while I felt my face contort from mischief to anger.
"Do you really wanna know my plans? I'm known as crazy you know,"
I brought my leg up and linked it through one of his arms and pushed him over onto his back. I stood on one knee, now hovering over him."Guess what Romeo, me too,"

After that fun little scenario, Romeo thought it'd be a good idea to give me a tour of his 'penthouse'. It was gorgeous, and huge; but there were a couple burning questions in the back of my mind.
"Yeah, Romeo this is great and all but do you really want me to live here with you?"
I asked,"Of course. Where else would you live where I can constantly check up on you and you have access to your work at all times?"
"I was gonna say in my flat but I don't think more crazy in such an old building is a good idea." He smirked,
"Are you suggesting something, Juliet?"
He stopped in a doorway and leaned against the door frame with a somewhat flirtatious look on his face."Try anything like that on me, and I'll slit your fucking throat while you sleep,"
I'd grabbed him by the collar and yanked him close."Ooh feisty,"
He grinned and I let go."Where am I sleeping if I really am living here?"
I said as I looked through another glass wall."In here..."
He went through a doorway and gestured to a double bed with dark green sheets,
"...With me,"I glared at him,
"Fuck.No."
He smirked."Would you rather the floor?"
"Yeah. Or even better, the bed in my flat."
He laughed. Loud."Yeah, no. It's here, or presumably for you; in hell,"
He pulled his silver gun out of the holster he wore under his arm and cocked it before aiming it directly at my face."You're gonna kill me if I don't stay here with you,"
I folded my arms and looked him in the eye."Pretty much. Thoughts?" he smirked that stupid smirk of his.
"I think you'd get blood everywhere and would have to clean it off everything,"
His face dropped."I did not think you'd say that,"
I smirked and took his gun out of his hand."Be careful with that!"
He shouted at me as I went and sat on the nearest sofa."Now that I fully have your attention, if you want me to live here with you then I want some things to change,"
He was so shocked at my suggestion that he barely noticed me handing his gun back.
"I'll tell you the changes in the morning. Oh and I dibs the bed. Night!"
I said as I jumped off the sofa and jogged off to the bedroom."Hey! That's not fair! I don't even know how you run in those shoes!"
I didn't need to look at him to know he was pouting. This was too easy.
