Rue went out again last night, though this time with anticipation, she rushed out to the deserted field, remembering to pocket her keys before she left. She thought she would change things up a bit tonight and see if she could undergo a full body transformation but first she needed to get to the forest, where she could change into anything she liked. She had put on her old camisole again as to not rip any of her good clothes. She sprouted a pair of bats wings for her travels, made sure her pocket was zipped shut, and her camouflaged skin blending into her wings, in a much shorter time than the previous night and with much less difficulty. She headed for the treetops soaring alongside a few other flying creatures she couldn’t quite make out in the dark. She landed in the clearing where her granddad had brought her and sat on a tree stump, building up her courage for what she was about to do.
She had forgotten to bring a spare pair of clothes for her expanding figure when she trans-mutated, in fact she hadn’t thought that far ahead. She decided her best bet was to go commando here where there was no person around, rather than on the walk home, if her clothes did end up ripped, where it was more likely for her to pass someone.
After about half an hour she finally had enough courage to strip her clothes off down to the skin and used a rock to keep them from blowing away if the wind picked up. She stood in a more sheltered part of the clearing, fully exposed and feeling the chill of the night air pinching at her body. She hoped this would work, otherwise she would be stood there with animal legs and the other half naked. To her surprise it did, she had transformed herself into a wolf. Not exactly original, but she was in a forest, what more would you expect.
She no longer felt exposed, the thickness of her amber fur coat, instantly warming her cold skin. She was glad she had thought to take her clothes off, if she hadn’t, she would have been walking home with a leaf bra and a leaf cover up on her way home. She had at least tripled in size and was now standing on all fours. It was a strange sensation and she felt the need to pound through the forest. She tried out her new body, she could run extremely fast, she bet she could race a car around a track and come out with first place. Every time one of her paws hit the ground there was a large thud. She could feel the mud and leaves underneath her, it was like a soft cushion that slightly muffled the sound of her large paws thudding across the ground. She raced around the forest for hours without stopping. She finally came to a rest by the lake she and her brother spent most of their time at when they came to the forest. It felt oddly lonely without him there. Nevertheless, she found their favourite spot right next to the edge and lay down, allowing her head to rest on her paws which were half into the water.
She didn’t like the idea of drinking from the lake, but since she was so thirsty and still in her wolf form she used her long tongue to lap water into her mouth, which didn’t actually taste as bad as it looked.
She was exhausted, her eyes already beginning to force their way shut. She tried to keep them open but after a few minutes she was overcome by sleep.

She woke up with a start, the morning birds had started their chirping, the sky hadn’t yet started to brighten, so her guess was it was about three in the morning. She had to get back home before it started to get lighter, or she was in huge trouble. At some point during her sleep she must have changed back into human form because when she stood up onto two feet she realised she had no clothes on. She ran through the forest not bothering to turn back into wolf form in her haste to get some clothes on. She reached the clearing in less than ten minutes and quickly put her clothes back on. If she had slept in longer she would have been so humiliated!
She made it back to the field before the sun started to rise, though she flew over a few tired early risers, who luckily didn’t think anything odd of her. The field was empty once again so she landed and got rid of her wings. It was starting to get too late now so she sprinted back to her house and let herself in as quietly as she could manage and crept up to her room without being caught in the act. She was glad she had brought her keys as she wouldn’t have been able to climb her wall with it being this light now. She looked at the clock on her bedroom wall that read ten to six. Someone would come in to wake her up in about three hours. She didn’t bother changing out of her clothes before she fell straight to sleep on her bed.
