The bus screeched to a halt and let out a large sigh of breath. I looked out of the window still upset and shaken from that dreadful memory. I hate thinking about it. A green view of rolling paddocks filled my vision, white railing separated each paddock and a large open black barn stood tall and proud as the farms center piece. I got up along with the rest of the students, we poured out of the busses doors like water from a tap, the gravel under my feet crunched a dry toneless crackle.
Thick green trees sheltered the paddocks, and a full size Olympic arena hide behind the black barn this place had defiantly been set up for horses. And that scared me. I didn't want anything to do with them since that day.
Off to the left a grand white house stood in the corner, the vines of red flowers decorated it, as though it was from an idyllic country romance.A beautiful middle aged lady ascended from the picturesque house, she wore a soft blue cotton dress, and her long blonde hair was braided into a thick plait.
With elegant steps the woman came towards our group, smiling all the way. "Oh hello! You must be Miss Winchester," she pronounced with such enthusiasm, it made you wonder if she greeted all of her customers like that. Our teacher smiled and nodded, they chatted among themselves for a while before Miss Winchester suggested we all follow her 'Lacey' to the vacation side of the property as we had come in the through the wrong gate. After a short walk we had reached a much more 'school camp' appropriate looking area with a giant flying fox, a pond with kayaks sitting at the boarder, a giant field with cabins sitting up on a little crest looking over the giant field and into the trees beyond. This view allowed me a sigh of relief, maybe we didn't have to be around horses after all.
Jane stopped us and asked us to join into groups of four since there was four beds in each cabin and five cabins, since there was only twenty of us that we're supposed to be going, but now with me here it wouldn't work. Since no one liked me...this only had one out come. Me being left out.
Everyone had there sleeping arrangements sorted and I was left all alone.
"Oh I thought there was twenty students coming"
"There was but I'm an exchange student, I only came to school this week." I said
"Oh well aren't you lucky first week at school and your already on school camp, no no it's okay darling our groom Josh isn't home yet so you can have his sleep out, it will just take a while for me to tidy away some of his things.
"Oh thank you,"
"Of course, it's the first room closest to the hall. Come by in about an hour"
"Thanks"I think I'd rather be on my own than with a bunch of girls who hate me anyway.
