Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arianism, the non-trinity belief of the early believers.

"Arianism is a nontrinitarian Christological doctrine which asserts the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was begotten by God the Father at a point in time, a creature distinct from the Father and is therefore subordinate to him, but the Son is also God (i.e. God the Son). Arian teachings were first attributed to Arius (c. AD 256–336), a Christian presbyter in Alexandria of Egypt. The teachings of Arius and his supporters were opposed to the theological views held by Homoousian Christians, regarding the nature of the Trinity and the nature of Christ. The Arian concept of Christ is based on the belief that the Son of God did not always exist but was begotten within time by God the Father." Arianism - Wikipedia

Why would people early after the apostles be jostling about with a ONE Elohim (God) doctrine, and yet today, if you deny the trinity, they think you've blasphemed Elohim (God)?

I have no intention of repeating Wikipedia or other sources completely here, so I do encourage the reader to copy the links and paste them into a web browser to further read.

A note about history: It's so amazing to me that we have free resources to read about our history, yet the history of Elohim and His people seem to be avoided in our school and educational systems. Nearly everyone I know under a certain age, has a portable computer in their pocket, though many use them for games, idolatey, lust, coveting, and general toying around, rather than researching for the kingdom of Elohim.

While learning about Arianism, I felt convicted for opposing Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, and even Muslims with an incorrect theology of Elohim. The Mormon friend of mine that I witnessed to about Messiah being Elohim in the beginning, I now need to return to and inform him of my mistake. For I had believed whatever truth to be true at that time. As we research, we learn more, and if we are humble enough, we might even call our past belief as heretical.
