Evette's pov

"I cant believe you're gonna leave me." Jada let out a sigh.

"It won't be so bad. I mean you only got a couple weeks left." I shrugged as i sat on my bed.

This was the last time i was going to be here. After 2 years of being in juvie. I was finally leaving.

Everyone wants to be the head bitch in charge. So of course girls bumped heads in here but fighting holds you in longer. Which is why its been 2 years.

"I'm gonna miss you girl." I pouted at Jada as we hugged for one last time. Jada was the only person keeping me sane.

"I love you, Lopez. You better stay your ass out of here." She laughed.

"Dont worry, I'm changing for the better." i reassured her.

Then my name was called for me to head to the front area of the juvenile detention center.

It felt weird.

Was i excited to go back home? Ehh.

I was exited to be free but not too thrilled to be back in my home life.

I knew my parents especially my mom would be extra hard on me. She always is.

"Dad." I teared up as i ran into my dad's arms for the first time in a while.

"Hey loser." He held onto me tight.

What would i do without this guy?

My dad... is such an amazing person its unreal.

He's always there for me. He always has my back. He's just amazing. Not an ounce of disappointment.

"Ready to leave?" he looked down at me as I nodded in response.

He signed some papers then we headed out the building.

I have to stay out of trouble, cause if i dont than i'll be in jail or prison and not juvie.

"Hows everybody at home?" I questioned him as he looked at me.

"Well uhh... they're good. Your mom found a better paying job and your brother joined the football team."

"What about Gabrielle?"

"She's doing good. She's finally trying to do better in school."

"That's good." I nodded my head slowly as he gives me my phone.

"So what are your plans Evette? What are you gonna do? You're a senior now. You got to start thinking about your future." He started.

And the headache begins. Everything i said about him being my favorite person can be thrown out the window.

"Well uh... maybe get a job... orrrr do a sport. I dont know yet." i put my feet on the dashboard.

"Last time you did a sport was when you were in 6th grade. Remember? You argued with the coach for 15 minutes then decided to quit because he was telling you what to do."

"Well i wasn't gonna be told what to do." I glared at him.

"Thats what coaches do! They tell you what to do! What did you expect? For them to stand there and count grass blades?"

"Yes dad! I wanted you to just stand there and let me do whatever was that so hard for you?" I laughed.

I don't think he'll ever forget about that. He was so devastated when we lost that game.

Not the first time i disappointed my parents.
