(A/N):I haven't written anything in like a year RIP. Please accept my apologies for being absent with some fluff for my mushroom bae! I'll try to start writing more when I'm not too busy with work, and hopefully I'll get to all those requests/suggestions you folks have left me

If there was one thing you loved more than your adorable girlfriend, it would have to be free samples. Especially when you could share them with her!

After a long day of snatching samples from oblivious store workers, you happily bounded into your apartment with your large bag of goodies.

"Welcome home hun," called out Kinoko from the kitchen.

"You'll never guess what I found today," you exclaimed, rummaging through your bag of prizes.

"By the looks of it, I'm gonna guess more free samples," she replied, shaking her head.

"Yes, but I have a feeling you're going to like this one a lot," you said before pulling out a small packet and handing it to her.

"Mushroom hot cacao? So it's hot chocolate made with mushrooms," she asked with an excited gleam in her eyes.

"Exactly! Let's test it, and if we like it enough, maybe we can recreate a recipe of our own with your mushrooms," you responded, but your girlfriend was already one step ahead of you as she put a saucepan on the lit stove.

Once the cacao was ready, she handed you a warm mug as she sipped on her own.

"How does it taste," you questioned, wearily sniffing the drink.

"Whoever gave you this sample must be a very fungi because this is delicious," she chuckled, amused at her own mushroom pun.

After confirmation from Kinoko that the drink wouldn't kill you, you took a small taste of the mushroom cacao. Once the drink hit your taste buds, you were pleasantly surprised to find it so sweet.

"I'm pretty amazed! Finally a mushroom treat that's sweet, just like you," you said, winking at your girlfriend as her face began to flush bright pink.

Standing next to her side you gave her cheek a peck before taking her empty mug to the sink.

"I can't wait to try a Kinoko cacao, I bet it'll taste amazing."

"Q-quite your shiitake," she stuttered out in embarrassment.

"Sorry I just can't help it! You're just so cute I could eat you up," you said before playfully nibbling on her neck.

"T-that's it," she said before activating her quirk in your mouth. "How's that taste huh (Y/N)?"

"Hmm Reishi mushroom. Reminds me of the cacao," you mumbled as you chewed the mushroom in your mouth.

"Well, it was in the recipe," she replied, satisfied with your answer.

"Guess we'll have to start experimenting with new types of mushrooms when we make a cacao together. We'll make so many types that our kitchen won't have mushroom left to work with," you joked, tagging along in the mushroom puns.

"Black wood cauliflower shroom! Yellow knight shroom! Enoki shroom, inky cap shroom! It'll be shroomtastic," she cheered as mushrooms began to pop on her head.

"Shroomtastic indeed, my love," you responded before leaning over to give her a kiss.

Pulling away, you give her a smirk before you whispered in her ear, "Shroomtastically delicious!"

"I-I said stop the shiitake!"
