Gemma made it to the house this morning. It's a Saturday and she's finally here and met her. She's so nice as well. She told me that she helped Amelia get the papers done for the adoption, which is something that I didn't know, and that she wanted to give me some things. She said she will call me later when she's not too busy anyway. Amelia told me that she will be staying here until next week, which is great, I guess.
Gemma was the girl version of Harry but with hazel eyes. They both have the same dimples that Amelia has but I feel like the three of them are all alike, except Harry had green eyes. They're all so nice. I feel like Harry is nice as well but I just haven't seen it yet because of how closed off he is. Or maybe because I just haven't really talked to him in general. Either way, I think all of them are nice.
"So, Mia, I was thinking of buying you a phone. Is that all right?" Amelia said as we strolled down the sidewalk of London while she held Sam's hand.
"No, I'm fine not having a phone, Amelia." I said, shaking my head. "Besides, they're very expensive these days, so it's okay." I added.
Gemma didn't accept my answer, though. "But it's a necessity, love. For emergencies and such." She told me and Amelia nodded in agreement.
"I'm...I just feel like you've done too much for me. And phones are expensive." I said and looked down at my feet, hoping they'd just let it go.
"It's okay, Mia. Really. I want you to feel like a teenager again. You deserve that." Amelia said, making me look up at her and she gave me a small smile. "Okay?" She asked, raising an eyebrow in expectation.
"I...I guess." I said in defeat, causing them to smile.
"All right, then. Let's go to the store." Amelia said quite happily and linked her arm through mine.
I've never had anyone, aside from my parents, do such things for me. I missed having someone who cared so much for me. I know Amelia cared for Sam and I, but my parents love is still different, obviously. Nothing will amount the love that my parents showed me. I think most people feel that.
We entered an Apple store and Gemma and I sat in the waiting room as Amelia did the papers for the phone. She seemed adamant on spoiling me but I feel like sometimes I have to decline because despite how wonderful it may be, I just feel like she's done enough. I told myself earlier when I accepted her offer that this will be the last thing she'll do for me. I will find a place to work at while school is still a week and a half away, therefore, I can have my own sum of money when school starts.
"How old are you again, Mia?" Gemma asked, causing me to look up at her from Sam, who was telling me how beautiful her doll is.
"I'm sixteen." I answered timidly.
She hummed. "Harry just turned seventeen last February. How are you two getting along, by the way?" She asked, sending me a nice smile afterwards.
We haven't talked to each other again after the moment when he gave me some kind of talk about my painting skills. I don't know why but I guess it's because he's always out with his friends or when he is around, I'm not out of my bedroom.
"He's been nice to me." I said truthfully but also lying because he was cold to me before he talked to me few days ago but I think he is nice, all I have to do is wait.
"That's good. Mum told me you didn't get along at first but maybe things have changed, huh?" She asked, smiling.
"I think so." I said and sent her a small smile. "I think he's also very diplomatic."
