Why do I like him again? (Ban x King)

King had an idea and grinned, he opened the taverns door and jumped into the snow like a kid, Ban got out of the tavern also and sat near the front door just watching King. They fairy floated around, grinning like a child on Christmas. He started rolling some snow to the point it got so big it broke because it wasn't sturdy so King did what anyone would do and just sat down besides the ball of snow and hugged it, he regretted it soon after because now he was even more cold

"What are you doing?" Ban laughed, King jumped forgetting he was there and let go of the snow ball.

"Doesn't matter!" He replied shaking his arms up and down.

"You're such a child." Ban said again shaking his head. Diane returned looking a bit happier than before and came near the two boys. King immediately floated over to her and hugged her. Ban felt a bit of jealousy but just shook it off.

"Hey how are you? Did we do something wrong?" The smaller asked the girl.

"I-i-" She started. "Can I talk to you over here?" she pointed over near the tree.

"Uhhh sure." King accepted and floated over to the tree with Diane.

Ban raised an eyebrow and shrugged going in to get himself a drink.

"So what's up?" King asked leaning against the tree.

"Are you sure you like him and nobody else?" King nodded, looking away.

"I don't think he's right for you." She admitted. "You deserve someone better, he's probably just going to use you if you confess to him." Diane said trying to get King to change his mind.

"I'm sorry Diane, I can't help it, I like him okay?"

"Well I like you!" Diane shouted, Ban dropped his cup and cursed from being startled.

"Man now I have to get another drink." Ban sighed walking back in the tavern.

"I thought you liked Captain?" King asked looking at her shocked.

"That was just a cover up."

"I'm sorry Diane, your to late I used to like you then I got the hint that you didn't like me back so I gave up." King frowned. "You're an amazing friend but I guess my heart just moved on."

"I hate you!" Diane yelled storming off again, King's heart broke a bit as his eyes watered and he slowly slid down the tree, pulling his legs up to his chest and hiding his face.

The rest of the deadly sins, Hawk and Elizabeth where watching the scene, the Princess wanted to go over and comfort King but Meliodas held her back and raised a finger to his lips indicating them to be quite. She felt so bad for the fairy but listened to Meliodas. Ban came out of the tavern again with another drink, it took him a moment to find where King was once he found him he looked at him confused and crouched down in front of him leaving his drink beside himself.

"Hey what happened?" He asked gently putting a hand on the boys shoulder. King didn't look up, he just sat still besides when his body shook thanks to the cold breeze. "Come on, look at me." Ban said with a sigh, he raised King's head up with his hand under his chin making him look up at the Blue(?) haired male. "What happened?" 

"I'm over reacting- T-that's all it doesn't matter."

"It matters to me, tell me what happened." Ban said a bit more sternly, but not to demanding seeing that his friend was already in a bad state.

"Fine, Diane said she hated me alright? that's it, as i said before i'm over reacting." He sniffed wiping his eyes, Ban removed his hand from Kings chin.

"Your not over reacting, you two have been friends for ages it's bound to hurt." King looked up at Ban again and gave him a quick hug. 

"T-thanks." Ban smiled at him getting up then helping King up.

"Anytime." Ban smiled patting Kings back then grabbing his drink.

"Awww he cares for him." Elizabeth fangirled but kept her composer.

"See? That's why I left the two alone, well I don't know whats happening with Diane." He admitted but shrugged.

"How long until they get together?" Elizabeth asked.

"How would I know? King's the worst with confessing things."

"What about Ban?" Gowther asked pushing up his glasses.

"He's very straight forward... most times so probably soon."

Ban finally took a drink of his beer (Tbh i forgot what it's called) Enjoying the taste with a small smile, King grabbed his pillow and hugged it for warmth as he floated around the tavern sometimes bumbing into walls making Ban laugh.

"What happened between you and the giant?" Ban asked in his normal tone of voice.

"...She confessed to me."

"Oh congrats- wait then whats the problem?" 

"I don't like her as much as I used to." He sighed.

"I know..." Ban whispered to himself rolling his eyes. "So do yo like someone else?" Ban teased.

"N-no! Why would you think that?" He blushed.

"You're so easy to read, you know that right?" Ban smiled shaking his head. "First, your blushing, second-..." Ban stopped thinking for a moment. "Second you where head over heels for that girl that just doesn't change overnight."

"I'm telling you I don't like anyone." King lied getting annoyed.

"Oh princess, princess, are you getting annoyed at lil old me?" Ban laughed.

"You're taller than me." King pointed out.

"Oh I know, I just wanted you to say it." Ban smirked, King glared at him and he only got that smirk back in his direction.
