A/n: Hey, there. This is basically a filler, but it does introduce plot. And is mostly talking, without describing much of what's going on. I apologize for that, and I'd rather not have it like that, but it's necessary for this story to continue. You now what I mean, right? I hope so. I promise next chapter will not be like this.

"Nev? Nev? Hey, hey, keep your eyes open for me," Iowa sounded distant, like she wasn't right beside me, looking down on me, her hands pressed over the gaping wound, soaked in blood.

The edges of my vision were blurring, darkening as seconds ticked by, little to no feeling left in my body. I could hear other voices around me, questions, yelling, direction. But everything was a blur, to distant, to far away for me to make out.

My vision swayed, my eye lids almost shutting. Iowa gently tapped the side of my head, still looking down at me. I could feel my own blood on my face from where she touched me, reminding me that I was hurt. "Keep your eyes open," She ordered, her voice stressed, tired, confused all wrapped up together.

"Keep you eyes open,"

It echoed in my head, over and over again, her voice getting further and further away as my vision darked slowly with each repeating phrase. All I was left was two questions.

How?

And, why?

All the light faded from my vision, leaving me in darkness. I could still hear their voices, faint, far away, unable to make out any words. Why? How?

"Don't leave me..." I heard a closer voice say, his voice echoing through my head.

"Please, please, don't leave me," He repeated, it's voice breaking in the middle of his sentence.

Zeta.

I tried to speak, but no words came out. Nothing. Only silence.

Everything, the far away voices, Zeta, faded, leaving only darkness and silence in their places.

"What happened in there?" I heard some ask, breaking the silence.

"I don't know. I don't know," I heard Colorado's panicked voice repeat, breaking. I hope she didn't get hurt. I hope she didn't get hurt. My team... my team is all I care about, the only people who know what happened all those years ago. The only ones I truly trust.

"Hey, hey, calm down, calm down. She'll make it, CO," I heard the hesitation in Alaska's voice, probably doubting his own words. It's that bad, huh?

"Calm down?! She did that to protect me, Al! I don't know what would have happened if she... if she... didn't do that..." She trailed off as Alaska shushed her.

They faded out again, leaving me in silence. Is this where...

I heard a chuckle, a very light chuckle, echo in my mind.

"This isn't the end, for you. Not yet. Not yet. There's still another job we need you to so, and something you'd want to see," A woman's distorted chuckled before fading away.

...Was that...Chi?

A/n: Sorry for the short and terribly written chapter. As I've already said, this is just a placeholder, you know. I will make sure the next chapter is not like this. It won't be. I might do a longer chapter, 'cause I kinda... pre-wrote this section right after I finished that last chapter. So... greetings from the past? XD

Anyways, sorry for this chapter.

See ya next time, my friends.
