A/N: Happy Halloween guys!!!!Have a great day! Also I'm going as Red Riding Hood lol :)

I sat up in bed, wrapping my thick blanket around myself to block out the bitter air. Hook groaned beside me. Drool stained his chin and pillow and his lips were twitched into a small smile. I laughed quietly to myself and went to my closet, shivering against my blanket.

Tight black pants and a red long sleeve shirt? Perfect. I threw on the clothes and grabbed a black jacket and hat to compliment my outfit. Just as I was about to put on my knee high boots I heard Hook's voice from the bed. "Good morning love," he said with a yawn.

"Hello." My hat fell onto my head.
He pulled the sheet off himself, and I saw his chest was bare. He must have taken his shirt off sometime last night, I thought. His necklace dripped down past his collar bones, and I watched it swing for a second. Then he asked, "What are you doing up so early?"

"Early?" I stood up in my new boots. "It's eight o'clock."

"So? That's still early."

I rolled my eyes. "Work."

"Does that mean I have to go?" The blue in his eyes were glassy with sadness and shinning with tears.

"Yes. Sorry." When he got up and reached for his shirt I cried, "Wait!"
He turned to me with his sad eyes.

"Yes?" He asked hopefully.

"There's something I want you to hear."

"What?" A flame flickered in his frame.
I pushed him back onto the bed lightly and grabbed my phone.

"I'm sure Granny won't mind me being a little late."

"Sure." He nodded at my wrists.
Rolling my eyes, I untangled my headphones and gave one to him.

"Here."

"What the bloody hell does this do? Shock me?"

"No. It's music." I scrolled down my playlist quickly.

Hook shoved it into his left ear. "It doesn't sound like music."

"It's not on yet."

Hook's POV

I waited quietly, the thing Red gave me in my ear. All of a sudden words and music swam into my ear.

Nothin' goes as planned,
Everything will break,
People say goodbye,
In their own special way.

"Andrew Belle," she whispered. "In My Veins." (A/N: song above.)

I smiled. "It's lovely." I brushed my fingers through her dark hair as we continued listening.

Oh, you're in my veins and I cannot get you out,
Oh, you're all I taste at night inside of my mouth,
Oh, you run away 'cause I am not what you found.
Oh, you're in my veins and I cannot get you out.

After the song was done she ran to the door, and looked down at her watch. "Goodbye, my love." After blowing me a kiss, Ruby left. I watched the door, my face flushed and wet with sweat.
"That woman," I whispered.

Ruby's POV

I loved him and I still do and when he walked into the room I couldn't stop watching him. Yet, he saw right through me like I was simply glass.

"Ruby!" Granny snatched the book from my hand. "Work is for working."

I took it back. "And break is for breaking," I hissed, flipping it open.

"Which you don't get. You were five minutes late." I looked up, glaring, and closed the book and threw it to the counter.

I grabbed the dirty cloth next to me, more of a tan than white anymore. I walked to the tables and began scrubbing at the crap people left on the table. Later I found myself running my nails across the counter. My eye lids fell.

"I would like a cocoa," a voice said, snapping me from my peace. I sighed.
My eyes wondered to his face to find a familiar man. A not rather tall man...but not a dwarf, about as tall as myself.

"William Scarlet," I greeted. "What brings you out of hiding?" (A/N: Picture above)

Will shrugged. "I decided to drop in."
I had known many thieves in my life. Snow, Robin Hood, but Will was much different than them. I met him one of the first days at StoryBrooke. I might of flirted with him...a little. After that we became friends and awhile after he went into hiding from Graham and people...meaning me.

"This is on the house," I said, as I passed the mug to him. "Since I knew you weren't going to pay for it anyway."

"You are correct," he smiled. "I was playing on runnin'."

I sifted and quietly said, "Seems like all you're good for."

He chuckled. "So Red, what's been goin' on? What's been happenin' at Granny's Bed and Breakfast?"

I grabbed his hands tightly. Don't call me that, only Hook can say that I was about to say but I didn't. Will looked taken back.

"Wow," he grinned. "I didn't know you still felt somethin' for me."

I felt myself grow hot and I let go of him. "I don't."

"Then what the bloody hell was that?"

"I..." I didn't know what to say. "Please don't call me Red."

He shrugged again and stood up. His fingers ran through his short, dark hair. "We're not too different you know...Ruby." His slender fingers ran along the buttons on his jacket, focused.

"I'm not a thief William," I grunted and took his mug. "Also I don't know how you get away with all this...shrugging."

He ignored the last part. "That's not what I meant." After he pulled on his coat he sighed. The blue in his eyes shinned against the golden light from the windows, like the sea at sunrise. In a way, Will was quite beautiful, but broken. His true love left him to live a rich life with a king. "I know about Peter, about your mother...Anita? Was that her name?"

"Yes." I swallowed hard.

"Yeah well I also know that you were workin' with a thief...Snow White." He rubbed at the light stubble on his chin. I smiled slightly. "I know what you've been through." Will's voice lowered to barley a whisper as if telling a secret.
My hand curved around the nape of his neck, my thumb running over the slight lump forming in his throat.

"Oh Will," I mumbled. "Will." A tear ran down my check. He watched as it fell across my lips and down my chin, losing itself on the tiled floor beneath our feet. I shook my head.

Will wrapped his hand around my arm. "We could be a team you and I. We could rule the world together," he breathed with a smirk.

A sad smile spread across my face in return. "No Will."

"Come to my place tonight." He jumped and smacked his hands against my shoulders, gripping them tightly. "We could do all kinds of things Ruby, just think about it!" His grin was madder than the Hatter's. That's when something bad happened. He leaned in and I didn't turn away.

William Scarlet, the Knave of Hearts, a worker for Cora. This boy, man, had been through Heaven and Hell. Losing his love, his friend, his trust. Now, knowing what he went through, I just couldn't bring myself to pull away. I couldn't hurt this boy. Perhaps...he was just excited about having a new friend.

Oh, you're in my veins and I cannot get you out...
