•I sat on the bus while staring out of the window. I was still seated next to Grizz, but it seemed that he was slowly starting to doze off.
I didn't mind of course, it meant less time being awkward with a cute guy.
I opened the book that was in my lap and continued to read it. I was undisturbed which meant I could finally focus on the words on the pages, besides the ones of talkative teens around me.
I looked around me and noticed that almost everyone was asleep besides a few kids who were listening to music or on their phones. I was glad that I wasn't the only one awake, that would have been a bit weird.
I turned to face Grizz beside me. He was sleeping to the side, facing me, as he snored softly.
It was absolutely adorable.
His hair fell on his face which covered half of it. I couldn't help but smile at how content he looked. He was extremely handsome even while sleeping.
It's crazy.
His eyes fluttered open as if he knew I was staring. My eyes widened before turning back to my book. I could see Grizz sit up out of the corners of my eye.
"How do I look sleeping?" He asked with a smirk. He ran a hand through his unruly hair as I blushed at his words.
"You caught me." I laughed softly.
"But how do I look? I always wondered if I look better or worse than when I'm awake." He smiled.
"You look happy." I shrugged. Grizz nodded while he looked at me, still with a smile on his face.
"That's good I guess. I probably look like that because I'm sleeping next to you." He said while grabbing his bag. I barely caught his words before I smiled to myself.
Did he really just say that?
I continued reading my book, noticing that Grizz gave me a few looks here and there. Sometimes his gaze staying on me for long periods of time before he shook his head and continued reading.
I wasn't sure what the meaning behind it was, but I shook it off anyway. I didn't want to get feelings if he would not feel the same way back.
"(Y/n)?" Grizz asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked up at him as he continued. "Would you want to, uh, hang out later? Maybe when the trip is over?"
I immediately smiled at his question. I noticed there was a hopeful gleam in his eyes and I couldn't help but smile even brighter.
"Yeah, that's sounds fun. Is it as friends or-"
"It's a date." Grizz cut me off. He was now fully facing me as he looked at me expectantly. I nodded as I let his words sink in.
"Okay then. I'd love that." I replied.
Grizz's worried expression quickly morphed into one of happiness. His grin was wide as he nodded.
"Great." He said. I could tell that he was at a loss for words as he turned back into his seat so that he was facing the front of the bus.
I took that as a sign and rested my head on his shoulder. I could feel him tense at first, but he soon softened at my touch and wrapped a strong arm around me. I couldn't help but sigh in content at our position.
I was surprised that after a few minutes, Grizz kissed the top of my head gently. I snuggled closer to him as he wrapped his other arm around me. Guess I was falling asleep in the bus like this.
Perfect.
