I sigh as I sit next to Clarke, both of us observing the poultice that the grounders used on Jasper. We both look up as we hear footsteps. I see Finn and feel annoyance bubble up inside me. I look back at the poultice and Clarke does the same.

"You're mad." Finn says and Clarke looks up at him.

"I'm not mad. You want to think Jasper's a lost cost, go ahead. You're wrong." Clarke says.

"I hope I am." He says and I scoff at him.

"Whatever this stuff is, it has to have had antibiotic properties." Clarke says, obviously wanting to change the subject. Finn kneels down and observes it.

I look up and see Wells walking towards us.

"Let me take a look." He says and sees the look on Clarke's face. "Before you say no, remember who aced botany in Earth skills." I snort as I see a defeated and annoyed look on Clarke's face as Wells takes the stuff from her.

"The Grounders used it as a poultice. Tea might be even more effective if we can figure out what it is." I explain as Wells closely observes it.

"I know what it is. Seaweed." He says and shows us the poultice. "Looks, no root structure." He shows and I pat my hand on his shoulder and give him a small smile. He smiles back and my heart clenches a little.

"Right. Well, then there must be a water source somewhere." Clarke concludes and I roll my eyes.

"No shit." I mutter, but go ignored.

"Yeah," Wells agrees and Clarke gets another look of annoyance on her face. "It would have a slow current, lots of rocks. The water would be more red than green."

"I know just the place." Finn says and Clarke gets up.

"All right." She turns to Finn. "Let's go." Finn and Clarke get up and start to walk away. Wells gets up and raises his arms in annoyance.

"Hey." He calls out and they stop. "I know what this stuff looks like, do you?" Wells asks and I snort. Clarke sighs and motions for him to come with them. Wells grabs my hand and goes to walk with me but I stay put.
