Twilight continued

Chapter 2

"Go to sleep sweetheart," I said to Renesmee.

"But what if the Volturi come?"

She's been having nightmares for a few weeks now, nothing will get her to sleep except Alice.

"Edward, call Alice," I said knowing that I didn't have to shout. He walked into the room.

"Again?" he said to Renesmee, "Honey the Volturi won't come."

"You can't be sure unless Alice comes," she said.

"Please go call Alice," I told him. He walked off, I could hear everything.

"Alice we need you again," he said

"Okay I'll be right over."

That's why I love Alice, she'd do anything for us. I guess Edward was right, she wouldn't leave us, especially now, when the Volturi could come any day, but I wouldn't tell Renesmee that.

I could hear her approaching. She walked into the room.

"Alice!" Renesmee said.

"I heard you can't sleep," she said.

"I'm afraid the Volturi will come again, have you seen anything?" she asked.

"No, everything's fine, I promise, so can you go to sleep now?"

"I guess," she said.

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Goodnight Nessie," I said. I finally excepted the nickname Jake gave her. I went into the other room to talk to Alice.

"Thank you so much for everything," I said.

"Bella we're family, family will do anything for each other, you seem to keep forgetting that."

"I know, I would do anything for you too, remember that," I said.

"I will," she said, "Oh, I almost forgot, tomorrow night you're dropping Nessie off at Charlie's, then you and Edward are to come to the house for a surprise, and wear something nice!" she said as she walked out the door.

I looked at Edward.

"Do I have to go?" I asked.

"Sadly, yes."
