Evangelion: The Continuation Project Volume 1

As Shinji, Asuka, and Rei we're walking with Toji, Kensuke, and Hikari to Tokyo-3 First Junior High School to attend classes, Rei broke the silence by telling the rest of the group something that would surprise them.

"Sorry I didn't tell you this earlier but Katsuragi-sensei said that there would be some new transfer students coming to our home room" Rei explained.

Upon that explanation Shinji was curious about who the new transfer students.

"Do you know who they are Ayanami, I heard both of them where from the European Union Security Academy?"

"Well yes, but I also heard one of them was related to Soryu-san" Rei kindly replied.

Upon hearing this Asuka immediately felt her heart sink upon knowing who was coming to the high school they go to. She immediately went from being happy and enjoying her day to being incredibly angry, grumpy, and irritable. It wasn't long before Rei and Shinji noticed Asuka's change in attitude which prompted him to turn his gaze to Asuka where he saw an expression of irritation and grumpiness on her face.

"Asuka, are you alright? You seem pretty angry all of a sudden" Shinji asked in a concerned and worried tone.

"I'm sorry if what I said made you upset Soryu-san" Rei replied apologetically.

"It's nothing, just shut up and let's get to school alright" Asuka angrily shot back.

Shinji, Rei, Toji, and Kensuke were taken aback somewhat by her reply but they figured it was better to leave Asuka alone for now than continue to get her to explain how she was acting. Than something came to Shinji, this was going to be a pretty horrible day not because of Asuka, but because the one of the two exchange students they were all going to have one hell of a day.

As class 2-A of New Tokyo-3 High School got to their seats in their homeroom, Misato Katsuragi, the teacher responsible for class 2-A was already there (surprisingly she was almost always late to work). As she walked through the door two other female students followed behind her. The first one was 16 years old with chest length brown hair with part of it tied back in to two twin tails, wearing a faded blue head band on her head with two nerve clips at the sides, wearing a pair of red-rimmed reading glasses, and being close in height to Misato. The second looked exactly like Asuka in height and looks with the exception of having auburn brown hair, skin that was somewhat darker than Asuka's, and darker blue eyes.

"Alright everyone, we have a special new addition to the class, may I introduce our new transfer students; Mari Makinami and Aska Langley Shikinami" Misato cheerfully announced.

"So this is class 2-A huh, doesn't look like much of a welcome for a former ranking 1st Class Captain of the European Security Academy"Aska retorted in disgust.

"Wait you're a 1st Class Captain?!" Shinji questioned in a surprised tone.

"That's right, and you must be the daddy's boy that managed to work for the Artificial Evolutionary Research Center through pure nepotism, unlike me who was selected purely because they worked for it and managed to emerge on the top, isn't that right" she replied to Shinji in what was clearly a rebuke.

Already intimidated by Shikinami, he quietly sat back down with a fearful expression on his face but Asuka wasn't having any of it. Immediately infuriated by what she said, Asuka stood up slamming her hands in to her desk and angrily shot back at Aska.

"You shut you're hole, we were asked to help with the experiments without even getting payed regularly, nothing else, you got that?! And stand your ground next time someone tries to challenge you"
