While Shinji was able to walk around much more easily, it still didn't mean he could go far as he would quickly collapse of exhaustion. Even then he tried to move around as much as possible while eating a balanced meal to stay as healthy as he possibly could.
At this time of the day he was siting up In his infirmary bed reading the Life of Pi by Yann Martel when suddenly he saw the door slide open to reveal two figures he had not seen in a long time. The first was a tall girl with waist length pink hair with a white headband, off-white skin, and teal eyes wearing a red blazer, a black belt, black leggings and white boots. The second a brown haired, fair skinned boy who wore grey dress jacket, with a red scarf around his neck tucked in to his jacket, grey khakis, and black slip on shoes. It was Jota "Zero Two/Iota" von Frank and her boyfriend Hiro "Darling" Ikari.
"Iota-san, Hiro-kun, what a surprise" Shinji exclaimed shocked at their sudden arrival
"Oh my goodness, Shinji-kun I missed you so much, how are you doing, I heard about what happened earlier this week" Jota worriedly asked while she lunged on to him
"Zero Two give him some space, he's still recovering" Hiro asked of Jota
"No really, it's okay Hiro-kun, I'm doing much better now. Anyways how are you two doing? I heard that you guys were here on vacation since you're on break" Shinji asked curious about what they were doing at NERV
"Well I heard that Uncle Gendo and auntie Yui were working on a project similar to what my dad's working on back in Cerasus City at the X2 Polytechnic, and I also wanted to see my favourite little guru since it was such a long time since we last met" Jota happily replied
Just than the door to Shinji's room slid open to reveal Asuka and Rei. Asuka was wearing a white t-shirt with red trimmings and a black Nordic cross with a red outline and "GOTT MIN UNS" written vertically over it, a knee-length black skirt, white socks with red lining, and red white and black runners. Rei was wearing a white sundress with white slip on shoes and black socks. Both were surprised let alone shocked to see that Iota and Hiro were standing right by Shinji's bed.
"Iota, what the hell are you doing here, I thought you were still in school" a surprised Asuka asked
"Well me and my darling decided to take a vacation here to visit auntie and uncle since it's been such a long time" Jota casually replied
"Well either way you better not smother Shinji or make him do anything denigrating to me or Rei, or you'll be the one who I beat up next"
Asuka shot back at Jota
"But either way, It's good to see you again, it's certainly a break from having to deal with Kyati-Shikinami" Asuka continued calming down
"Glad you think so" Jota gleefully replied
"Well why don't you two go hang out for a bit, I want to catch up with my cousin for a bit if that's okay with you" Hiro chimed in
"Will do darling, what do you say Asuka, want to show me around town then" Jota asked
"Yeah sure, if it means keeping your antics away from Baka Shinji" Asuka conceded

Gendo was lounging back on his chair with his feet crossed on his desk while he was enjoying his time reading the Good Life Magazine by Doctor Oz. That was until he saw on his desk's security monitor a pale man with neck length black-hair that covered his right eye, stubble on his chin much like Ryoji Kaji, grey-blue eyes, wearing a white dress shirt, and purple tie, a black dress vest over both, black khakis, and dress shoes. Gendo immediately dropped what he was doing as he was surprised to see the figure that he knew since his university days but has not met in a long time standing right in front of him.
