Evangelion: The Continuation Project Volume 7

-2030 CE, 15 years later-

"EvaStar has now entered prime phase orbit" a commanding feminine voice went over the intercom

"Copy, preparing for orbital insertion burn" another voice over the intercom replied

A space plane bearing an exact resemblance to the XR-2 Ravenstar but with no livery or branding, flew above Earth, but this time filled with land masses covered in varying shades of purple, red, orange, and brown. The water on the planet below also ranged in varying shades of clear blue to scarlet red. It was like this in much of the world's landmass by this point. This was a result of what 15 years of constant world war with weapons of unimaginable power could do to the entire planet. Mari Makinami was sitting in the cockpit with a generic pink  plugsuit wearing a space helmet with cat-like ears, on her chest were 2 white stripes to denote the rank of First Lieutenant. As the engines pushed the EvaStar towards an, as of yet, unspecified destination, Shikinami was wearing her old Evangelion Powered Armour Unit-02 Alpha, stood in the airlock, armoured with a Pallet Gun and a backpack containing a number of tools.

"Alright Princess, you ready to get you're Puppy-boy back? You do want to see his adorable face again don't you" Mari mischievously asked Shikinami

"Shut it Four-eyes, it's none of your business, just get the damn thing ready to dock" Shikinami angrily shot back

As the EvaStar continued travelling through the edge of space, they eventually arrived at their target; a space station with a central half-sphere in the middle with 3 sharp rectangular prism-like structures sticking out of the bottom, all equally spaced apart. Below that was a large circular array of orange solar panels. The station itself was known as the Mobile Aerial Fortress. As the got closer, the orbital insertion burn ended.

"Insertion burn complete, Operation US is a go" a voice said over the intercom system

"Copy, prepare to fire fore ACTs in 10.5 seconds" another voice continued

"Copy, preparing to fire fore ACTs...now" Mari replied over the intercom

As the forward altitude control thrusters slowed the EvaStar down, Mari begun to slowly align the target on the ships HUD with the docking port of the Mobile Aerial Fortress. Eventually after carefully managing to dock the EvaStar to the station, a large clanging could be felt through out the ship. Eventually the airlock opened to reveal a futuristic science fiction-like hallway with flickering lights, ripped out panels exposing wires and circuitry, with the same hanging from the ceiling, rust along the metallic wall cracks, and light fixtures and panels dangling from the ceiling as well. Shikinami was a little unnerved at how badly the space station was falling apart, but had definitely seen worse, and this by no means scared her in the slightest.

"Remember, The Mobile Aerial Fortress was taken out of service more then 10 years ago, it's most likely the structural integrity has made it very unsafe to stay in for too long. So remember, I just want you two to retrieve the subject as quickly as possible and get out of there, Captain Katsuragi out" the commanding feminine voice, that of Misato Katsuragi, explained over the radio

"Understood, Captian Katsuragi" Shikinami replied over the intercom

Eventually she came upon a rather well preserved room, one that had a number of pipes, sensors, and panels along the walls. Attached to the walls, however,  were a number of metallic rectangular cryogenic pods with a small rectangular window at the top of them. Almost every monitor beside the panel read the following:

That was except for one; Shikinami saw the panel of the one at the back of the room and it read the following:
