We run out of the room. I forced Jaime to take the lead. Jaime had Sam on his back. Tony had to get out immediately. His lungs were not gonna stand any of this smoke. I wipe my tears. Michael was gone. He was gone but at least Lucifer was gonna be safe. I'm still not fully convinced. For all I know I lost them both. My family was gone. Fucking gone.

"You promise you won't leave me?" Lucifer said. He's fourteen. He's losing the light in his eyes. The hope seeping away.

"I won't. I already told you," I said rolling my eyes. He held my hand and smiled. He kissed my cheek and ran to class. I closed my locker and touched my cheek. I smiled a bit. That day I talked nonstop about the redhead I met in the halls to Michael. Michael.

Wolfe was carrying Tony and Sam.

"Kid we have to keep going. He's fine I swear I won't let them get hurt anymore. Please let's keep going!" Wolfe said. Tony is coughing a fuck ton. Wolfe trying to get us all out together. Then the floor caved in.

"Fuck!" Wolfe yelled as Tony, Sam and himself fell down two floors. I still don't know if Wolfe is alive. So I pushed everything down. I grabbed Mikasa and McLennan by the arm. Jaime grabbed Greg as they follow. I was able to find a fire escape. There are firemen. I get McLennan out, then Jaime as fast as possible.

"Will! Will come on!" she said. I help Mikasa onto the window sill, her knees bleeding since they were scratched to hell.

"You go! I'll send Greg right behind you," I said.

"Will please," Mikasa cried. I kissed her temple.

"If anything happens to me. You and the others take care of them. You can have everything we own," I said. With determination, she nods and kisses my cheek quickly before she fell back. Her body received the blow. I heard the firemen and watch as she was safe. They urge another. Yet I noticed the collapsing beams around us. As Greg tried to climb, there wasn't enough time. The fire escape collapses and I yank him back. The debris covers the only escape.

"We got to move," I coughed. The smoke is collecting. I had the bandana from earlier and hand it to Greg. He wraps it around his neck as embers danced in the air, burning exposed skin. He grabbed my arm.

"Where?" He panicked.

"Down. We need to find anything open," I said. I lead him down to the stairs. Running as we hear screams of agony. I tried so desperately to ignore it. A barrel full of what I assume is some kind of oil or gas explodes. I shield Greg. The scrap metal from the blown barrel cut into my cheek. As we run down the stairs I pulled it out as I ran my tongue over it and feel it cut me. I felt the burning pain as I stared at the chunk.

"Greg?" I stopped midway. The fire surrounded the building quickly. With the buzzing in my head, my hands trembled as I stared at part of my cheek. Greg turned and looked up as he was a few steps down.

"Oh, my god. Will," Greg said as he saw the flesh.

"Greg, my- my cheek is in my hand," I spat the blood building up. It was copper, it was metallic and it burned. Burned more than my mind thinking of my lover I felt behind and the kids I swore to him I'll protect.

"No-no no-no," Greg said immediately running up to me. He threw the metal away and pressed his hand to the wound. "Hey look at me, Will. Look- hey hey it's alright. We're gonna go downstairs and see if Tony, Sam and Wolfe are okay. I'm sure they're waiting for us. Come on, stay with me," Greg said and removed his hand now stained with my blood. My mouth is dried yet the blood was quick to fill it. I felt sick to my stomach.

Where was the wave when I needed it? Where was it? I turned and noticed the steam. The water evaporated quickly as it tried to flood the area. I start moving with Greg. We were running and searched the third floor. We still need to reach ground level. There was nothing. All windows were broken and debris blocked exits. I stole a weapon off a dead guard, ignoring the fear in Greg's eyes as we looked around. I don't remember where I put my pistol from earlier. I had to hurry. Anything to escape this burning labyrinth of the family from hell.

"Hands in the air kids!" Someone yelled and soon after coughed. I insist Greg grabbed the pipe closest. It's not quite hot yet, how would I know? I lied. I can't think logically. I smell burning flesh and looked at my arm. It was bubbling from where a metal bar hit me. Must be from the ceiling. Greg's hands burned even when he used his sleeves to grab the bar. I found pistol ammunition on another body.

"Will, what do we do?! We need to get out of here now," Greg hissed. He's right. God, he's right but my mind is still at the office. It's still at the office where she shot him. Lucifer looked terrified as Michael and I tried to stop the bleeding. Bleeding, my shirt is covered in his blood. In my own and Michael's blood. I'm still trying not to let Lucifer die alone as we agreed. I'm still upstairs.

"You're gonna be alright Greg. We just need to rid of a few guys. Uh, think it's games. It's a game an-and we need to survive for the next round!" I rambled. Greg gave me a worried look. My head ached. Something fell and hit my head. I closed my eyes as the ground began to spin. I think I'm seeing stars.

"Wilbur?" It's a whisper hardly heard in the raging flames.

"Greg we need to kill them, okay? I am going to kill them and I need to know if you're gonna have my back," I said. I opened my eyes again and see Greg's big eyes. They look terrified. I know it's not what I'm asking for at the moment. It's not for now. It's because I just nearly lost everything and now I will lose him if he freezes like before.

We hid behind some crates to buy us some time. Someone is shooting. There are multiple. I shot a few people. I got shot in the should. I hissed and keep shooting. I wasn't able to hit them all. Greg had begun slamming the large metal pipe on someone. They screamed and begged him to stop. I kicked the gun away.
