"The paranormal field has made a lot of headway in the last two decades, this was started by Blue Peter presenter Yvette Fielding who started the show Most Haunted with her husband Karl and her Brother Rick," Anne said as she turned towards her class. "But before then it was almost like a secret society with religious circles." She bought up a picture of a priest holding a bible from the film Exorcist. "The public was not allowed to know about the afterlife or limbo as this would destroy religions ideals and beliefs of spirits going to heaven or hell."
She started her slide show to show the many different TV shows that had dealt with the paranormal field.
"Now it has a very scientific feel to it. Investigators try to catch spirits, ghosts, well whatever you want to call them on film as proof of the afterlife." Glancing at the clock she realized that the bell was going to ring in about fifteen minutes so she quickly pulled up her laptop and pressed the publish button on the website before she bought the seminars web page on the screen.
"Our seminar starts in a couple of weeks and we have got some new guests who will be joining us this year." As the picture of the GAC crew appeared on the screen the girls in her class started to scream while the guys whooped in joy.
"So they really are doing the Seminar." A quiet girl in the front asked as she held her hands in front of her like a prayer.
"Yes I actually spoke to the four of them this morning and they have agreed to attend the seminar." As her phone beeped she glanced as the incoming message.
Finally, I can tweet about it. Z x
She laughed as she read the message. But before she could turn back to her class her phone rang. Answering the video call she was shocked to see Zak staring back at her.
"It's not really a good time I'm in class." She watched as he bought up a sign that said, put me on the big screen. Frowning she connected her phone to the television set where she had often had video conferences with people in the paranormal field. As Zak's face filled the screen the girls began screaming again. "As you can tell you are on and they can hear you."
"Hi everyone." Zak said, "I just want to say that we are so pleased we can attend the seminar so we can meet every single one of you. I can't stay long as we need to go off to another location but if you tweet me and put the hashtag paranormal seminar in your message I will respond to you. But don't tell everyone, this will be our little secret ok." He smiled as he said goodbye and hung up the phone. She looked back at her class just as the bell rang.
"Right you lot, off you go. Don't forget you have got two weeks of freedom while I'm crossing the T's and dotting the I's for this seminar. I will see you back here on the 1st of October for the start of the seminar." As her class left she could hear them talking animatedly amongst themselves. Picking up her phone she sent off one more message to Zak,
You may have created a monster. A x
But it is all fun, I'm really looking forward to the seminar. Z x
Me too, but we need to meet up before you fly over. Are you at the museum next week as I'm in Vegas while I gather some more material for my lectures on haunted locations from around the world. A x
When are you flying in, I'll pick you up from the airport. Z x
I'm landing 18th September in McCarren international airport at 6 am in the morning. A x
Ok I'll see you then Z x
Shaking her head she packed away her phone before she left her office.
**
The heat immediately enveloped her as she stood outside the airport while she waited for her ride. She could've taken a taxi to the Museum but before she got on the flight Zak had insisted on picking her up.
