True to his word they were in the SUV a few hours later on their way to one of the haunted hotels in the area. Zak had been there before but he wanted to see how the spirits would react to this woman who was with him. The hotel they were going to was notorious for spirits attacking any woman who entered, and while he didn't like the fact that a woman could get hurt he was intrigued at how Anne would react.

Once they pulled up outside the hotel Aaron grabbed a camera so Zak could interview Anne.

"This is Professor Anne Lake, she is a professor of Folklore and Mythology in Cardiff institute all the way over in the UK. Professor thank you for joining us." He said as the camera turned to face her,

"Thank you for having me." She replied. "and thank you for bringing me to this amazing building." She said.

"So Professor, you yourself aren't a believer in the paranormal right?" He asked her while she smiled at the camera

"Not at all, although I don't discourage people from believing in something beyond their realm of existence it is not something I believe in."

"Well I won't tell you any details but would it be ok if I locked you in a room in the hotel with a camera to see if you can make contact with the spirits that reside here?" She nodded at him,

"If it gives Aaron a break then I'd be happy too." She said as Aaron laughed from behind the camera,

"Great does this mean I get a night off?" He asked but Zak just shook his head as he laughed.

As the night fell they entered the building where Zak gave her a quick lesson on using the equipment before he locked her in a room on the fifth floor. When he left she sat down on the couch in the room and proceeded to call out to whomever was supposed to be here.

"Evening, my name is Professor Anne Lake. If there is anyone here who would wish to communicate with me then now is your chance." She said into the room, feeling quite foolish as she did. Her students would get a kick out of seeing her do this.

As she sat on the sofa a chill spread across her back but she just dismissed it as air currents moving around the room.

"Come on, surely you aren't a coward who is afraid of a little woman." She announced much to the surprise of the crew who were watching from home base.

"Did she just call the spirit a coward?" Billy said as he was putting fresh batteries in their equipment.

"Yeah she did." Jay said amazed that the professor was showing no signs of fear.

"Wait what's happening now?" Zak said as he saw Anne get up and rub her arms as if to keep warm.

"This is ridiculous, you know I don't believe in you right. If you were really here then do something to show me. Come on your coward show yourself." Anne said into the room. Suddenly the temperature dropped and she felt like a hand had run itself down her back causing her to turn around to make sure none of the guys had stayed in the room. As it was pitch black she wouldn't know if they had or not.

As she sat back down she felt like her body was starting to feel like wisps of smoke. It was as if her body had no control over itself, like she was just a voyeur in her own head. She could see the door opening as Zak walked in but when he asked her if she was alright the words that came from her mouth were not of her own making.

"I'm fine Zak, there is nothing here." Her mouth said while inside she was screaming that it wasn't her speaking.

"Are you sure? You don't look fine." She felt her mouth turn up in a smile as inside she bashed against the prison that was her body with invisible hands.

"I'm fine. Honest." She said as her body got up to move and approached him like a predator stalking it pray. Her hips swung in a way that she had never been able to accomplish in her entire life. Her hand laid itself against his chest as he swallowed audibly. Suddenly he turned away from her and spoke into his walkie talkie.

"Billy, Jay, Aaron are you seeing this?" He said as she sashayed closer to him.

He looked into her eyes and realised that while Anne was home there was something else controlling her. He had assumed that while she was such a strong non-believer nothing could touch her. But he was wrong.

"Anne you need to snap out of it." He said as he grabbed her arms to shake her but that only caused her to smile at him.

"Snap out of what Zak?" She asked just as her body collapsed in on itself so she was cradled in his arms when he had caught her.

He picked her up bridal style and carried her out of the room. It seemed the professor wasn't as immune as she liked to believe.

She found herself sat in the control room Jay had set up with Zak holding her across his lap in his arms while Aaron had gone back to the room she had been in. She had heard that people said they didn't remember being taken over by a spirit but she remembered everything. Shaking she curled herself into Zak's arms before she realised he was talking to her.

"Are you ok?" He asked as she nodded then shook her head. Whatever that thing was it was not happy about being dead. She had felt wanton and need in her body. She didn't like it.

When Zak had walked in the room whomever was in control took a shine to him. She remembered the sway of her hips and how her first thought was that she wanted to jump his bones right there and then.

Anne prided herself on being in control the entire time but for that split second she had lost all control of her body both mentally and physically.

"You know we need to go back to that room to find out who that was." He remarked to her while her body shook with fear. Anne had never felt fear in her life, when most girls were afraid of spiders and bugs she would be the one who took the critters out of the area to stop her friends screaming in fear.

Before she could answer the spirit box that Aaron was holding sprung to life.

"Anne" it said plainly, "Whore."

"Oh that's nice. You jump in her and call her a whore. What do you want?" Aaron asked the entity.

"Zak...Zak...Zak." It said before the voices stopped altogether. Aaron turned to the camera and lifted his walkie talkie up. "Did you hear that?" He said just as the door behind him slammed open, almost as if whomever was there had left the room.

"Yeah I heard. Come on Aaron the sun will be up soon." He replied before he turned to her. "Ready to go home." He said although he soon noticed that Anne had already fallen asleep in his arms. He looked at Billy and Jay, "I guess so." He said as the guys started packing everything away while he kept hold of her and let them deal with all the equipment. If this didn't make her a believer then nothing would.
