World War 3 happened six years ago. It had lasted for around 2 years. It started March 13, 2041 and ended December 8, 2043. The war was caused only because none of the countries could get along with one another, and soon, they started to attack one another. Allies turned into enemies. Bombs dropped in 2042. Radiation spread allover the cities.

Most governments, when they realized how bad the war had gotten and predicted the outcome, they had taken most of the children away from their families and put them under their own care so they could have a future. Just about everyone had perished in the war, even the governments and armies. The only ones that survived were the children the government had taken.

Once the children had broken out of the safe underground levels of the government agency, they all went their separate ways. Friends stayed with friends. They all started to form their groups because big packs of kids warded off mutations. Mutations are the animals that got exposed to the radiation from the bombs that dropped.

The mutations ranged from big forest animals to small house pets. But all were equally affected and equally scary. They liked to eat meat, which means more of the individual children or small groups had slowly disappeared. Now only a few mutations survived, the ones that could find enough food to eat, or didn't get eaten.

(Author's Note: This is how I picture our lovely main character Brexley Merandise. Any characters that are introduced in the chapters will be up there. Though not everyone will be mentioned. Just the more important ones. Also when the book is all done, or when I finish showing all the characters, I'll make a cast page. Because some of the characters will come in bulk - a lot of new characters in a chapter- and the pictures might not all get posted when a new character comes out or something. But it would be towards the end of the book if I make a character/cast page. Note that I don't own the people in the pictures just the descriptions. )
